Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Chalets

My family of 4 stayed here at the end of October for 2 nights. My children are 6 and 9 and we managed to get very reasonable flights and the cabin was also great value. We hired a car and drove to the cabin from the airport. Car hire worked out cheaper than taxis to and from the airport and it allowed us the freedom to explore. I would really recommend hiring a car if you are staying here as you will probably need to make a trip to the supermarket and the Santa village, both are less than 15 minutes drive from the cabin. The cabin was very impressive on arrival. Really spacious and spotless clean. Our cabin slept 6, had 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a lovely porch outside. The log fire in the living room was so nice and we were really lucky as it snowed while we were there. There are lots of walking trails beside the cabin and my family loved exploring the woods in the snow. A family Trip to Lapland can be very expensive so having the option of just playing in the snow right by the cabin is great. Everything at the Santa Village has a price but staying here allowed us to build a snow man outside the cabin, explore the woods, cook a meal and enjoy it together. I would really recommend this place and I hope to return again.

Excellent accommodation, modern and spotlessly clean. Dishwasher, washing machine,dryer press and sauna . Gorgeous location just beside the winter trials in a forested area but a quick drive into the city. Sledges available for kids. Would stay again

I don’t no where to begin! :( hard earned money for over 2.5 years to literally be shattered in a heartbeat. Please do not visit Christmas cottages in Finland. What an absolute shameful place to be. This was meant to be a once in a life opportunity/holiday and it’s been ruined completely. TUI them selfs sell this holiday like it’s magical, the place to be, it’s got everything there, it’s unbelievable, eyes ping open every minute of every day. It’s FAR from this!!!! It’s horrible, the staff are RUDE!!!! Wont do anything for you, the chalets themself are utterly disgusting the bedding’s got dirt mashed into them. The mattress I wouldn’t allow an animals to sleep on them. I am absolutely heartbroken that we’ve spent this amount of money on absolutely nothing. Please do not come here with your kids they will be absolutely gutted. :(

Chalet très agréable, en pleine nature , très bien équipé (cuisine , cafetière , bouilloire)literie confortable. Proche des circuits randonnées et trecks hivernals . 1,5 km du premier centre alimentaire et pharmacie . Piste de ski de fond toute proche .

Cottage bellissimo, molto pulito e completo di tutto: sauna, 2 bagni, lavatrice, asciugatrice, asciugacapelli, stoviglie, forno ...veramente tutto ! Ideale per 2 coppie di amici - sufficiente anche per 6 persone (2 camere separate e ulteriori 2 letti nel soppalco). A pochi km dal centro, risulta caratteristico e comodo allo stesso tempo ma, per raggiungerlo, occorre un mezzo privato o un taxi.

Estupenda cabaña en una ubicación idílica en el bosque de la colina de Ounasvaara. Alejada del bullicio pero super cerca de la ciudad, a unos 2 o 3 km. Está super bien equipada, tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días. La chimenea es una maravilla y calienta tanto que tuvimos que apagar hasta la calefacción estando a -24 grados en el exterior. Todo muy limpio y muy acogedor . Los exteriores preciosos, con muchos trineos con los que los niños se lo pasan genial y preciosos senderos para caminar. Una tarde fuimos caminando al supermercado, que quedaba a una media hora andando. Estuvimos 4 noches y nos hubiésemos quedado más... super recomendable!
