Very friendly staff & nice ambience at Restaurent .gabriel will ensure you are engaged while Carlos will keep an eye that you don’t get drunk & srilankan chef will continue to serve mouth watering delicacies. We had a very mixed stay here in February 2025 in one of the Aurora Huts for 1 night. We arrived early but had paid €60 to check in from 2pm to make the most of our stay. On arrival, it was difficult to see where the entrance to the reception area was and at the side of the main building there just seemed to be lots of items dumped outside. Not a very welcoming sight. We were told our room was ready at 2pm and proceeded to walk to the hut, only to be chased up by a member of staff to tell us the room wasn't ready and to go back to reception - not a good start. After this issue we were allocated another hut. The hut is very small but we had been warned about this in the booking process so it wasn't too much of a surprise. There is a little sink and toilet and we used the showers the following morning in the main area of the resort which worked well. The hut was really cosy and looked out onto the snowy area, we really loved it. We used the hot tub but it really was so cold when we got out the warm water. We really enjoyed the hut but for us, 1 night was ample. The restaurant was a real disappointment for us unfortunately. There was a large party there celebrating a birthday and I think as a consequence, several of the limited menu options weren't available which was really disappointing. This related to the main and dessert courses. The food we ate was nice but very expensive for what it was. Service was attentive. We wanted to retire to the lounge area next to the restaurant but this was really difficult. The birthday party group were all sat there and it was very difficult for us to sit where we wanted to and we felt slightly awkward. However, the bar tender was very attentive and mixed up some lovely cocktails. It was disappointing not to be able to relax after dinner when we had spent a lot of money to stay at the resort. I appreciate the restaurant taking external reservations but there needs to be some sort of guarantee that resort guests can use the facilities. If we had wanted to use the sauna it would have been very difficult with the party all sat outside in a very large group. Breakfast in the restaurant was nice enough. Not wow factor for the price we paid but acceptable. Overall, we really enjoyed the novelty of the igloo hut and the surroundings around it. However, the whole experience including the restaurant was very underwhelming for the price we paid.

The location setting is remote and stunning, and we were lucky to have a considerable amount of snow which added to the beauty. We spent 4 nights in "The Log Cabin" a rustic cabin in the heart of the forest and 1 night in a more modern "Suite" All accommodation was very good, and of high quality, with beautiful views from the large windows. The beds were extremely comfortable and the place was warm and snug, but had very little in the way of storage. Each room had a sauna and there are plenty of hot tubs ready for use about the place. The cosy on-site restaurant was a short walk away and offered a good quality but fairly limited and expensive menu (dinner€70-€90p.p.) However the alternative was to pay £50 by taxi to get into Rovaniemi town. There are self catering facilities in the rooms and it would be worth doing at least one "shopping trip" to buy in a few staples if you didn't have a meal inclusive package.The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the only complaint I had was having to listen to inappropriate and offensive music at breakfast. Whoever thought that rap music with its aggressive and obscene language was the ideal music to play first thing in a morning in a family restaurant needs to get to know their audience better. I put up with it for two days thinking perhaps some people actually enjoyed it but then had to mention it and the staff were excellent in dealing with my issue. We thoroughly enjoyed the Husky sledding, Reindeer Safari and Snowshoeing trips. If wishing to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights be aware that they can be very scarce and sightings cannot be guaranteed. We booked a trip to try and see them and although on the day it was obvious by the amount of cloud cover that there was no chance of seeing the lights, we were unable to cancel within 24 hours without losing all of our money. All in all it was a lovely holiday in a beautiful location.

The reception/spa/restaurant areas were clean and well-appointed in the modern Scandinavian way. The food was phenomenal! The igloo was a tight fit, but extremely cozy and equipped well with plenty of modern amenities. The staff was most impressive. Carlos absolutely rocked, chef Mauro was amazing, and Ioanna at reception was great! Those were just the ones we met directly, everyone was else seemed dutiful, cheery, and wholly competent. Good job all around!

Absolutelty perfect! This was unreal how your private invisible house closely is surrounded with woods. Feeling of full privacy while being close to all necessary amenties. Food was best we tried in Lapland. Girls retreat in private hot tub and sauna under the stars and Aurora is experience we could not even dare to wish. Thank you and we will be back for sure!

Finally my dream came true. I met Santa on Christmas Eve , and saw some nice Auroras. I will never forget that experience. The only minus was the limited light outside, but I assume this is planned for the Northern Lights. The team is international so you might your own language in the premises.
