Hotels in der Nähe von HEMA, Rouen

Wir sind sehr nett begrüsst worden an der Rezeption. Die Mitarbeiter bemühten sich für unser nicht gerade kleines Auto einen Stellplatz zu finden, da es nicht in den Hof passte. Zimmer war schon 1 Std. vor Check-in bezugsbereit, was uns bei einem Kurztrip immer sehr freut. Mein Mann hatte am nächsten Tag Geburtstag, aber leider reagierte man im Hotel darauf überhaupt nicht. Wir sind von anderen Hotels in dieser Preisklasse anderes gewohnt, schade. Den Pool buchten wir jeden Tag - er ist gross und alles war sehr sauber - wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Das Zimmer (Suite) war gross und das Bad auch. Nespresso Maschine und zus. Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Leider war es nachts vor dem Hotel an 2 Nächten sehr laut - trotz Corona Ausgangssperre, gabs Party auf der Strasse. Schade, das raubt einem den Schlaf - dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts. Das Frühstück hatten wir nicht im Hotel, daher kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Das historische Gebäude und das Hotel passen sehr gut zusammen. Die Lage ist spitze für die Erkundung der Stadt. Wir bekamen beim Buchen des Parkplatzes auch per Mail gute Anweisung, wie wir das Hotel finden können. Prima - alles in allem kommen wir gerne wieder.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, der Service sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war toll, vor allem die Dachterrasse. Die Lage ist am ich hervorragend, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Lediglich vom Abendessen im Restaurant waren wir etwas enttäuscht. Es war wirklich lecker - für uns Erwachsene. Es gibt zwar eine Kinderkarte, aber von den bestellten Dingen wurde nichts so geliefert, wie geordert und das ganz ohne vorher darauf hinzuweisen. Nur als ein Beispiel: ein Kind kann mit Apfel-Basilikum Saft halt oft nichts anfangen, wenn es Apfelsaft bestellt hat. Oder statt Schokoladeneis irgendein helles Eis auf dunklen Gebäckkrümel.... Und so war das leider mit allen anderen georderten Sachen. Auch auf Nachfrage gab's nur: ”das geht nicht anders.” Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, hatten wir einfach eine Alternative erfragt. Wir würden deshalb das Restaurant nicht mehr fürs Abendessen nutzen. Deshalb nicht für volle Punktzahl, aber das Hotel an sich ist ganz hervorragend!

Wir sind häufig europäische Reisende, die gewöhnt sind, um zu vergleichen und zu kontrastieren. Ein schönes kleines Hotel und auch ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Nichts war zu viel Problem für das Personal, Lebensmittel, Alkohol oder was anderes. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel (interessant Farbschema, aber nicht unzulässig) und es gab Essen im Einkaufszentrum auf der Straße. Das Zentrum war nur eine kurze Fahrt von der Fahrbahn entfernt. Meine Frau war nicht so freundlich auf der Lage, aber ich war insgesamt zufrieden. Ein schönes kleines Hotel.

Das Hotel ist in vielen Fällen modern, sauber und effizient mit Hauspersonal, das nicht freundlicher und hilfreich gewesen sein konnte. Das Zimmer war angenehmen, aber ziemlich klein, mit allen üblichen Einrichtungen. Der Parkplatz ist eng, aber ok. Das Problem ist die Gegend, es ist nicht sehr schön, und wir beide kommentierten, dass Sie nicht nach Dunkelheit zurück zum Hotel gehen wollen. Obwohl es als Rouen Zentrum gehandelt, ist es nicht. Die Stadt ist nur 30 Minuten zu Fuß vom alten Ort und der falsche Seite des Flusses entfernt. Die U-Bahn-Station ist 3 Minuten zu Fuß und 4 Stopps bis zum eigentlichen Zentrum.

Ibis Styles Rouen Centre Rive Gauche is easy to find and has plenty of private parking, both at ground level and underground. Check in was friendly and efficient. The hotel is a fair walk from the town centre but there is a very convenient bus service running past the hotel every 8 minutes or so. It is the T4 and you buy your ticket at the machine at the bus stop. It is one ticket per journey and you validate it when you board the bus. The most convenient stop for the old town is Vieux Marche and, coming back, the stop for the hotel is Chartreux. Our room is is modern but with the very limited storage space that you expect with Ibis, i.e. some open shelving and hanging racks instead of drawers and wardrobe. To be fair, it’s what I expected and it’s ok for a short stay. Other facilities include a large, wall mounted television and modern bedside lamps that you feel obliged to swing out of the way so that you don’t injure yourself getting out of bed. Talking of which, it is a large, very comfortable double bed for two people - but only one of us gets a bedside table - which I assume isn’t deliberate policy, so it’s just missing. Oh - and there’s a small table in the room, but no chair. There’s either some serious stupidity here or junior management need to have a look at all rooms to ensure all appropriate furnishings are present. On the mega plus side - the smart en-suite bathroom contained just about the best shower I’ve ever used. The buffet breakfast was fine, with the continental staples of fresh fruits, juice, yogurts etc with main items being the ubiquitous ham and cheese. You can also boil yourselves some eggs if you like (I was hoping for some scrambled!). A main problem was people having to queue for coffee from the single, working coffee machine, and for some reason they put the breads etc right behind where the coffee queue will be, so you need to break through the line to grab some bread or cake. Again, this should be an easy fix by (a) getting a second coffee machine up and running and (b) making sure that the coffee machine doesn’t hinder access to other areas. Taking the package as a whole, the price and facilities here are good for a near city centre hotel with parking. And here’s a little tip if you like a beer and don’t want to go into the city centre - La Civette des Chartreux is a splendid local bar just between the hotel and the bus stop. The bottom line is that this made a good base for a short visit to this fabulous city, and we would happily stay here again.

Great stop in a town we have been meaning to visit for a while now, but usually are in too much of a rush and stay in out of town hotels for ease of parking etc with a car filled with luggage. This is a brilliant compromise - secure parking (which is chargeable but quite reasonable at €8 for 24hrs) or you can park on the street very close by for free. It is co-branded with Ibis Styles, which means the public areas are higher standard than the normal Budget stops, with seperate lifts for the Styles part (presumably with bigger rooms) and the Budget side. As it is only opened a few years it was in very good condition and scrupuplously clean and we were perfectly happy with the budget rooms. As other have said, there is no food offer in the evening but you are welcome to bring or order food in and there are some pretty decent restaurants within walking distance, or the town centre is a 10 minute bus ride away with buses running until late. We chose to bring in steak-frites from a fantastic little takeaway 2 minutes walk from the hotel - quality to shame restaurants charging 2-3 times the price (there is also a Carrefour City nearby if you want salad with it). The bar at the hotel is well stocked and we really enjoyed our stay. I understand the comment about breakfast - coffee, juice and croissants are all good but the cold meats, cheeses etc were not inviting and we didn't bother - but plenty of choice nearby or in town.

We stayed here for a long weekend in April, it is a lovely hotel, clean, comfortable and in a very quiet location. It is a short drive from the centre of Rouen or a very easy ride on the bus, which is free on Saturdays! The restaurant is very nice and very reasonably priced for a set 2 course dinner. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Karen in particularly went above and beyond to help us with information for the buses and the new low emission zone stickers that are now required for Rouen. Private parking which was ideal for our motorbikes and a lovely garden to sit in if the weather is nice. Highly recommended.

Sehr komfortabel und ruhig. Tageshaushalt und Umstellung der Handtücher. Möglichkeit, sich eine Mikrowelle zu erhitzen, sich einen Kaffee zu machen und einen Getränkeverteiler zu machen. Es könnte auf der Ebene der angebotenen Gerichte verbessert werden, aber es ist langsam.
