I stayed here for two nights in May 2023. The hotel is located on the main street in Rotorua, about a 10-minute walk from the main shopping centre. Just up the road, about a 5-minute walk away, there are a couple of supermarkets. The airport is a 10-minute drive away. The hotel has plenty of parking. The room was very big with a small kitchenette, large bathroom, table and chairs etc. However, the room was showing its age and could do with an upgrade. Unfortunately the room was cold. I had the heating on but, given the size of the room, it took a long time to heat up. It was uncomfortable. There was no extra blanket for the bed. The wifi worked well. The service at the front desk was good. For what I paid, this hotel was good value. However, for my next trip to Rotorua, I would be prepared to pay a bit more for something warmer and more up to date.

Wir kamen auf kurzem Urlaub und wurden dieses Hotel von der Familie empfohlen. Wir waren nicht enttäuscht! Der Service war großartig, der Spa war wunderbar und die Betten waren super komfortable. Die Variante am kontinentalen Frühstück war ziemlich gut und das Personal war wunderschön. Absolut empfehlen!

We just had an amazing 5 day stay! We had a family group of 8 (multi-generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins were perfect, with comfy beds, nice linen, small kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom. The communal areas were lovely and clean and well equipped. Nice communal lounge with a fire place. The big pool was heated and the thermal hot pools were awesome! Kids had fun on the trikes and the bouncing pillow. The staff were very helpful, the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Thanks Tasman Bay!

Sehr gut geeignet, um die Unterkunft zu wählen, der Parkplatz muss im Voraus gebucht werden, der Service an der Rezeption ist wirklich gut, man kann zu Fuß zum Polynesian Spa gehen, die Lage ist sehr gut, nicht weit vom Regierungsgarten entfernt. Kein einmaliger Aufenthalt, es ist ein empfehlenswertes Hotel.

Rein moderne geräumige gute Leute Freundlich und hilfsbereit Personal Küchen sind eine große Größe viel Raum zu bewegen rund um dieses Gebäude verbreitet über mehrere Gebäude jedes mit eigener Einrichtungen. d.h. TV-Zimmer Küche viele Aktivitäten in jedem hat eine Waschbecken. Loungezimmer sind unglaublich komfortable mit Büffeltüchern und großen Stühlen. Das Hostel befindet sich 3 Minuten zu Fuß von CBD so ist sehr nahe zu allen Aktivitäten Es gibt mehrere Supermärkte innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Das Hostel befindet sich direkt gegenüber dem Kurau Park einen Spaziergang wert. Kann nicht genug über den Wert dieses Hostels sagen. Ich liebe dieses Hotel. Ehrlich gesagt, ich hatte nicht viel erwartet, wenn es um das alte und vintage Hotel geht. Aber als ich das Hotel eintrat, fand ich das Hotel ganz besondere und einzigartige. Ja, es ist alt und vintage, aber es ist auch gut gepflegt. Für das Zimmer, ich mag es, weil es große Fenster hat, einschließlich Bad und das Sonnenlicht kann durch. Für die Lage, ich mag es, weil es so nah an der zentralen Busstop, Eater Streets und Polynesian Spa ist. Weil ich nicht so eine Lage fahren ist für mich sehr wichtig. Wie viele andere Orte in NZ, scheint dieses Hotel auch kurz mit Personal ausgestattet zu sein. Aber das Personal hat immer noch das Beste getan, um zu dienen. Sie sind nett und freundlich. Ich wünschte, ich könnte für ein paar weitere Paare in den Hotels bleiben und dort die einzigartige Atmosphäre genießen. Ich würde wieder bleiben, wenn ich jemals nach Rotorua gehe.

The positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lake top 10. Wish we had more time to stay and spend time there. We checked in a bit late and so didn’t get to enjoy the many amenities this place offers. It’s neat that they even have a little grocery shop to get some essentials for cooking. We also walked around the beautiful lake on the path right next to the camp grounds. The safari tent was my son’s favorite part and gave the camping experience but with much more comfort.

Wir kamen in diesem wunderbaren Ort durch Unfallbuchung letzte Minute während unserer Reisen in NZ, so glücklich! und entschied, eine Nacht zu buchen, weil wir es so sehr liebten! Danny und Mable sind die schönsten Gastgeber, die uns bei unseren Planungsaktivitäten geholfen und uns vernichtet haben. Das Frühstück ist absolut erstaunlich: Mabel macht schöne Schöpfungen mit Früchten und leckeren Gerichten mit lokalen Produkten, Avocado und Blumen aus ihrem eigenen Garten. Ihr persönlicher Kontakt macht dieses B&B absolute Höhepunkt und wir empfehlen sicher, wenn Sie die Chance erhalten bleiben. Vielen Dank!!
