The positives first: The hotel is not terrible. It was not our first choice, but we ended up booking here, as well as booking our friends we were meeting here and another couple joined us for one night and paid for a room. We alerted the manager and he put us all on the the same floor, with a lake view. The room was clean. A little tight on space, but this is not a negative. Staff were friendly. The negatives: NO HOT WATER!! We stayed for 4 nights. One person out of 6 had a hot shower, as he showered just after we arrived. That was the last hot shower. The water was progressively colder, each day. And it was the whole hotel. This was the topic of conversation with every other hotel guest we happened to meet in the lift. We complained, every day. At each stage, we were told they were... waiting for someone to turn up...the problem was fixed but because everyone kept using the water it could not warm up...the problem was not fixed, they were waiting for someone from somewhere else. I think they had no idea and I did feel sorry for the staff, but a hot shower is absolutely a basic requirement. At no stage was there a note slipped under the door to apologise and ask us to bear with them. It was incredibly frustrating. It seems petty after this to mention the bathrooms also need a bit of care and smell very mildewy, but if it were not for the hot water issue, this would have been my main complaint. The last thing to mention, it rained the whole time we were there and the Ibis has no lounge area. We ended up sitting in one of the rooms, as a group, having a natter, like high schoolers. This is more of a Rotorua problem, though, as Rotorua seemed to shut down early and there was no where to just chat, in the evenings. Ibis Rotorua is not somewhere we will stay again.

I stayed here for two nights in May 2023. The hotel is located on the main street in Rotorua, about a 10-minute walk from the main shopping centre. Just up the road, about a 5-minute walk away, there are a couple of supermarkets. The airport is a 10-minute drive away. The hotel has plenty of parking. The room was very big with a small kitchenette, large bathroom, table and chairs etc. However, the room was showing its age and could do with an upgrade. Unfortunately the room was cold. I had the heating on but, given the size of the room, it took a long time to heat up. It was uncomfortable. There was no extra blanket for the bed. The wifi worked well. The service at the front desk was good. For what I paid, this hotel was good value. However, for my next trip to Rotorua, I would be prepared to pay a bit more for something warmer and more up to date.

Als wir das billigste Motel reservierten, das wir für den kurzen Aufenthalt von zwei Nächten gefunden haben konnten, waren wir nicht für eine solche interessante Erfahrung vorbereitet. Die Zimmer waren gründlich sauber. Topmarken dafür. Handtücher veränderten sich jeden Tag. Aber oh was ein seltsamer Ort. Das Hotel hat zwei Teile. Wir wurden in das einst ein sehr teuer 1950er Haus umgewandelt in Motelzimmer. Auf eine sehr scharfe Treppe, in das Zimmer, das in dem, was nur als eine Idee von Kunstdeco der 1950er Jahre beschrieben werden kann beschrieben wurde. Wir hatten so viel Spaß, herauszufinden, welche Teile des Hauses wurden geändert, um unseren Raum zu bewohnen. Das Badezimmer ist sehr angemessen und ziemlich quaint. Die Toilette ist in dem, was die Häuser ursprünglichen Dusche gewesen wäre, mit allen Original-Pipework bedeckt durch Bilder. Zugriff auf das Badezimmer vom Schlafzimmer - Schritt auf ein Mat - Check unter dem Mat Und lachen, denn die Rohrleitung für das Original Toilette ist noch da. Aber hey, es war sauber, die Zimmer groß und schließlich ist es nur schlafen.

Waren schon oft dort, sehr schönes Hotel mit Pool, Kinder lieben es sehr. Abendessen im Hotel, sehr zufrieden, leckeres Essen und guter Service. Obwohl die Einrichtungen nicht neu sind, sind sie sauber und unbeschädigt. Die Zimmer sind ruhig und komfortabel.

Der erste Aufenthalt war vor 3 Jahren, als es noch ein Holiday Inn war. Wir genossen die Pools und die näheren Attraktionen. Wir kamen dieses Mal aus den gleichen Gründen zurück. Kinder genossen den beheizten Pool. Und wir Erwachsene finden es nach einem langen Tag raus. Als die Handtücher aus dem Pool liefen, war die Rezeption froh, zu füllen. Wir waren in einem Deluxe Queen Zimmer vor dem Park. Zimmer sah müde aus. Bad war noch schlimmer. Mould auf dem Gräber und Tauch hatte Lime-Skala. Umdrehen der Tappe war gebunden, um Ihnen einen Splash zu geben. Andere als das Zimmer war sauber und teuer. Personal war freundlich. Und das Beste tun sie können auf einem besetzten langen Wochenende. Carpark kann voll auf einem besetzten Wochenende, Sie wollen fast nicht zum Abendessen gehen.

Was one if the cheaper options for our dates, we were pleasantly surprised. It looked and smelt new, had elevators to our floor. Room was small but practical, had fridge and jug. Bed was a double and quite small and for some reason seemed short but we slept OK. Very clean and well kept. Had small full length widow that looked into small atrium of the other rooms. Only negative was when the toilet was flushed, a sewerage smell came up through the drain. Easy parking, bottle store and restaurant on site but didnt use. Situated almost opposite luge. Had a car so location to town was not an issue, however, there were fast food outlets within walking distance that we noticed anyway. Overall, was good for our needs and would stay again.

Expectations were pretty high for this place as it has ‘Resort’ in the name. The pictures made it look lovely online, that is where it ended. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. I already knew the hotel was not in town so the location did not bother me. But if you are not wanting to travel much stay closer to town, as this place is 15mins away from the main drag. The view outside is stunning, unfortunately with all the rain there was mud everywhere which made it hard to walk outside of the hotel for a nice picture. You would think being a resort this would be a priority to fix up as soon as possible, even put gravel down instead of grass. The rooms were nice and big and the heat pump was lovely. Cleanliness is a big problem. Taps were still marked with water stains and dust, I wiped it and it came off straight away. Bathroom wasn’t mopped and the floor was not vacuumed. Toilet had marks in it that I could clean away, toilet brush was old and dirty (you know what I mean :() The ‘Spa’ area wasn’t the best either. 2 lonely spa pools sit out the back, with a grotty looking cold pool. The main pool looked lovely, but it was cold so wasn’t being used by anyone. The bar here is great, has a great UK British pub style, however someone is not always there to serve, we had to cancel drinks as they took the girl 30mins… The bed was comfortable and the overall area was nice and peaceful, couldn’t hear other rooms or anything. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. However, for us there were too many downs and we will not be returning.

很多人來藍湖都是開着房車拉着遊艇來的，藍湖的景色不必多説看圖，坐湖邊牙齒和頭皮都放鬆了。度假村分帶獨立衞生間和公用衞生間/浴室的。大多數都是當地人來水上運動和游泳/露營的，中國遊客很少。建議1-3月帶游泳圈或沖浪板來。周圍沒什麼餐廳，我們背了方便麪西紅柿來的，幾天後吃完了就打車10分鐘到旁邊Terawera湖邊的Landing Cafe去吃東西，艷陽天湖灘很熱鬧，都是孩子還有成人帶着狗🐶過來玩兒水，湖水清澈見底，對面是火山，可以搭訕讓當地有遊艇的人開到火山腳下的熱水灘泡温泉♨️。

Wir kamen in diesem wunderbaren Ort durch Unfallbuchung letzte Minute während unserer Reisen in NZ, so glücklich! und entschied, eine Nacht zu buchen, weil wir es so sehr liebten! Danny und Mable sind die schönsten Gastgeber, die uns bei unseren Planungsaktivitäten geholfen und uns vernichtet haben. Das Frühstück ist absolut erstaunlich: Mabel macht schöne Schöpfungen mit Früchten und leckeren Gerichten mit lokalen Produkten, Avocado und Blumen aus ihrem eigenen Garten. Ihr persönlicher Kontakt macht dieses B&B absolute Höhepunkt und wir empfehlen sicher, wenn Sie die Chance erhalten bleiben. Vielen Dank!!

Das Hotel ist sauber. Der Service ist gut.
