Dusties Hotel

Absolutely filthy and disgusting there were mice in the bed. Mice droppings absolute health hazard. To say the local.council use this hotel to help homeless they should be ashamed of themselfs. Shame on rmbc and dusties. This needs to be taken to newspapers and environmental health

Friendly staff and affordable hotel

First impressions on driving up were worrying, as the exterior is poor, with the front littered with cigarette butts, and no parking (a sign on the wall would be helpful as it look as though you can park there). The room though was a good size & very clean with a good shower, plenty of channels on the TV including streaming. had a good nights sleep which is the main thing though so that's okay

Hotel It's was ok clean and comfortable the area wasn't brilliant though on my initial entry to the hotel a man who obviously lived there said sorry love do you have a bus pass I can borrow . But it was a good place to stay for proximity to where I was working.

Dusties is very recently refurbished. The rooms are very modern with new carpets, furniture, bathrooms and decor. The bed is very comfortable. It is on a main bus route and easy to get to local places such as Sheffield Meadowhall and Sheffield centre as well as Rotherham and it is one of the cheapest places in the area. For a reason. The locality is rough looking and run down. I was warned by various people including taxi drivers that it can be dangerous for strangers. The hotel itself is home to some strange characters including one woman who had the appearance of a drug addict, being unclean, unkempt, scabby bloodied face and clutching a vomit covered beer bottle who seemed to spend every hour shouting out of her window for cigarettes off passing strangers. I was woken up at 5am by an ambulance crew banging on my door looking for a poorly woman who I could only guess was this character. The room, even though newish has cheap IKEA furniture which stains easily and wobbles alarmingly with any weight. There was so much hair in the shower plughole that when I removed it I could have stuffed a Stieff Teddy bear! The shower is so small you couldn't swing a mouse never mind a cat without turning the water to so scalding hot that you can feel your skin begin to peel! The toilet roll is single ply so be very careful.... So, to sum up. If you are only there for one night and built like ant man you will love this place.
