Home Azores - Lagoa's Place

We loved having this apartment with view of the ocean, a full kitchen and a washing machine. We appreciated Diogo, Home Azores manager, for his kindness and responsiveness when we had questions or a couple of little issues (ex: the electric kettle had been working fine but died on our watch - it was replaced the day we reported it). The apartment was very clean. The guest book includes good suggestions for the many island highlights, including restaurant recommendations and things to do and see. The charming town of Lagoa is a 15 minute drive to Ponta Delgada, and for us it was nice to be out of the commercial tourist hub, but still have restaurants, markets and . We were always able to park on the street just in front of the apartment. For us, stairs are no problem, just be aware that apartment is one flight up from street and the 2nd bedroom is upstairs (with bathroom on the main floor). We have suggested to the owners that they get comfort toppers for the mattresses, which we found uncomfortable. Given our experience with this host responding to our needs, we expect they will act on this suggestion.
