Very poor front desk service — there’s no proper order when attending to guests; they do not seem to know who came first. The staff attitude was quite rude. The room facilities were basic and a bit old. Overall, disappointing experience.

The people who book this hotel are usually looking for an all inclusive experience. The pool was busy, the music was loud. Fine if you just want a hotel on the beach and never adventure anywhere else.

Ein sehr gelungener Urlaub, vielen Dank hierfür. Die Anreise ist nur per Mietwagen möglich (knapp 2h vom Flughafen Malaga). Parkplätze gibt es nur in der Umgebung, abends muss man suchen. Sehr schöne gepflegte Hotelanlage. Unser Zimmer im 5. Stock hatte einen schönen Blick aufs Meer und einen Balkon. Die bodentiefe Dusche und die zwei großen Betten als ein riesiges Bett haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer und überall im Hotel war es sehr sauber. Im Rahmen des all inclusive gab es wirklich tolles Essen, abends wechselnde Themen Buffets. Insbesondere die Qualität der Speisen fanden wir wirklich sehr gut. Das Personal war überwiegend sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Raum für das Essen ist leider sehr laut, dies ist auch unser einziger Kritikpunkt. Hier sollte dringend mit Akustik Elementen nachgebessert werden. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade, man kann perfekt Spaziergänge machen, einkaufen oder Fahrräder, Roller etc. ausleihen. Es wird von vielen spanischen Gästen besucht, was wir als positiv empfunden haben. Tolles Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und absolut zu empfehlen!

Das Best Sabinal war für 11 Nächte unser Hotel. Vorneweg: wenn man ohne Kinder reist, sollte man das Hotel meiden. Während unserer Reisezeit, Hochsaison, hatte so gut wie jedes Zimmer Kinder dabei, das ist auch nicht schlimm-sollte man aber wissen. Das Hotel ist sehr groß, das merkt man zum Beispiel bei der Menschenmenge, die im Speisesaal versorgt wird. Hier ist es oft lauwir empfehlen die "grün" gekennzeichneten Essenszeiten des Hotels (Empfehlungen) und einen Sitzplatz im hinteren Teil des Speisesaals. Lieber in Ruhe sitzen und etwas zum Essenholen laufen als mitten im Trubel..das Abendessen hat uns, drei von uns sind Vegetarier, überzeugt. Es gibt täglich eine so große Auswahl, da findet man immer was. Klar sind viele Sachen jeden Tag da und gerade am Salatbuffet könnte etwas mehr Abwechslung oder mehr Saucen zur Verfügung stehen, aber es gibt auch täglich dem Motto entsprechend Spezielles, z.B. Sushi, Döner, Waffeln, Schokobrunnen, Asiatisch, Meeresfrüchte...alles ist gut abgeschmeckt und auch ausreichend warm, ständig wird neu aufgelegt. Getränke haben wir extra bezahlt, moderate Preise ! Das Frühstück hat eigentlich auch viel Auswahl (warm, kalt, britisch), hier hat uns die Auswahl an Brötchen/Brot leider nicht so gescmeckt, die Müsliauswahl sollte deutlich ausgebaut werden und der Kaffeeautomat ist wirklich nicht so gut. Das Personal ist wie im ganzen Haus, freundlich und effizient. Unser Zimmer war täglich gut geputzt, schön hell und ausreichend groß für uns. Auf dem Balkon gibt es nur 2 Stühle. Unbedingt muss man Meerblick buchen, auf der Rückseite des Hotels sind auch viele Zimmer, da schaut man dann auf hässlich Hochhausreihen! Der Pool ist sauber, aber stark frequentiert. Genügend Liegen gibt es und kaum Handtuchreservierer ;) Animation nur auf Spanisch und eher wenig, abends immer Programm (Musik, Tanz, Vogelschau), oft erst mit Beginn nach 22:30 bis Mitternacht...das hört man wenn die Balkontür auf ist natürlich, bei geschlossener Tür geht es aber sehr gut. Hotel eigene Parkplätze an (13€ im Freien pro Tag), es gibt in Hotelnähe aber auch genügend kostenlose Parkplätze! Gut gefallen hat uns die direkte Lage am Strand. Der Strand wird täglich gereinigt, ist Sand-Kies. Man braucht aber keine Badeschuhe! Manchmal sind am Meer dort relativ starke Wellen, so dass Schwimmen nicht möglich ist. Ein Rettungsschwimmer sitzt direkt vor dem Hotel am Strand und passt auf. Am Strand sind auch Duschen, Verleih von Liegen unter Sonnenschirmen (4€/Tag,) und ein kleiner Spielplatz, Beachvolleyball, Tretbootverleih. An der Strandpromenade sind kleine Restaurants,Cafés mit moderaten Preisen (Café Leche 1,30€), kleine Läden. Wir fanden das Hotel gut würden aufgrund der Größe und auch der geografischen Lage (in der Nähe gibt es nicht ganz so viel anzuschauen) nicht wieder kommen. Für einen reinen Badeurlaub ist es aber empfehlenswert!

Sehr angenehmes freundliches Personal, Zimmer sauber, eine sehr gute Aussicht zum Meer. Speisesaal ordentlich normale speisen.Können es weiter empfehlen.Schon der Empfang war sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit.

We've just returned from 9 nights all inclusive, and it's one of the best 4 star hotels we've been to. I don't give many hotels 5 stars so it goes to show how good this place is The food, as some mentioned was quite samey at times, but there were that many options overall, it didn't bother us. Lunch and dinner had live stir fry cooking and that was a particular hit. Normally on all inclusive holidays I eat out every 2/3 nights as I get sick of the food. We didn't go out at all here, which tells its own story. Drinks were absolutely brilliant. Top label stuff and as we were in October, we were always served quickly, and with a smile. Nestle ice creams on all inclusive were also a hit. You don't see that often. The pool was brilliant. Always clean and always had a lifeguard watching over. Splash park was a particular hit with the kids (12 & 6), although I expected my 12 year old to get bored quickly with it, she didn't and hours of fun was had while my wife and I relaxed. Rooms are basic as people have said, but cleaned daily and to a high standard. You can find fault if you look, but we don't care about that stuff. If it's clean and comfortable, you've won us over. Sea views are incredible and very peaceful. We had many a night sitting on the balcony with a bottle of all inclusive red wine. Bliss. I almost dropped a star on account of a few rude staff members in the restaurant. My family are very polite, and we also try our best to speak Spanish to the staff where possible, Especially ordering food and drink. However, a Few chefs and a couple waiting staff were a bit rude on occasion. I get they are busy and probably a bit stressed, but if you are customer facing, you need to serve with a smile. Lessons could be taken from the bar and reception staff who were exceptional. Also Tamara in the restaurant, always smiling. Chefs have a reputation as grumpy and a few lived up to that. I'm trying to speak Spanish so don't get annoyed at me when I don't understand your response... Overall I felt it would've been harsh to punish the staff because 90% were brilliant. Brilliant walks along the front, location is excellent however can't comment on surrounding areas due to so much of it shutting down for the season. Buses were good to Gran Plaza & Almeria. To conclude, this hotel is absolutely brilliant and we've come away well rested, well fed and with memories to last a lifetime. Kids had a blast.

Upon arrival, the hotel was very clean and tidy. The receptionist was very polite and helpful with the checking in process and we soon had our room numbers and all inclusivre wrist bands. The rooms were very spacious , clean and tidy. We had a sea view room with balcony. The beds were very comfortable . The range of food for all the meals was great , there was a very good choice of hot meals ,salads , fruit , bread , cold meals and most important for the kids puddings. All in all our stay was excellent and would definately reccommend others to go to this hotel.

Overall we enjoyed our week at Best Sabinal. The staff could not do enough for you, which helps you overlook the fact that the hotel is a bit tired. My only issue was the restaurant. The only hot food available is an omelette at breakfast and a stir fry at lunch and dinner the rest of the food is warm at best. Even if you wait for a fresh dish to come out of the kitchen, it is only warm. The serving dishes are placed on a surface that is warm to touch (not hot) and the lighting above is just that, lighting, with no heat being emitted. On the cooking station, the chef was picking up raw meat and serving the guests with the same tongs. I complained to the restaurant manager two days running. The restaurant is like a works canteen, the tables are too close to each other and it is embarrassing having to squeeze past people whilst they are eating.

Been staying at this hotel before it became a Best hotel and was an Hesperia hotel (20 Years). Just got back from our second visit this year and can honestly say we had a great time as usual. The staff in this hotel from housekeeping, dining room, bar staff, security and reception make this hotel a wonderful welcoming place, nothing is too much trouble for anyone. The location is perfect, adjacent to the beach which has a long promenade with tapas bars and chiringuitos dotted along the beach, there are a good selection of bars and restaurants and shops in the surrounding and are all in walking distance. We stay as half board and the selection and quality of the food is very good, with plenty of choices at all meals. The AI option is one of the best I have seen with plenty of quality drinks and freshly made snacks available, you do not wait in long queues at the bar as the staff are plentiful and friendly with a special mention too Ardial, carmela and Victoria their English is very good. Plenty of sun loungers so no need for early morning to reserve. The animation team work constantly. The rooms are very clean and cleaned daily along with fresh towels when required and the beds are large and comfortable. The hotel caters for a high proportion of Spanish families, to me that shows how good this hotel is, sometimes the dining room gets a bit loud but that can be the case with a lot of hotels. Just remember it is a Spanish hotel in Spain so don’t expect English entertainment etc, enjoy the whole experience. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will be back again in May. The seaview rooms are great but if you like to go to bed early then be aware a lot of the evening entertainment takes place on the outdoor stage so can be noisy up to around midnight.

Overall we had a great time at the hotel. My children aged 5&9 thought it was fantastic, they loved the kids pool and the adults pool too. Almost all of the staff spoke Englishand were friendly and the children were encouraged to join in the free activities. We stayed all inclusive and couldn’t fault the selection of food and drinks. The themed nights in the restaurant kept it interesting and there was always lots of new things to try and also a good selection of basics that were available every day for fussier eaters. It is in a great location right next to the beach with a small fairground next door which was great for the kids. We would definitely come back to this hotel

Nice hotel next to the beach. Good food and drinks. Also it was close to the bus stop, so we went to see the city and historical places during our vacation.

Just returned from the Sabinal,read the reviews and we were looking forward to our time there. Check in was easy and quick.The room comes with free Air Con,Safe and fridge,big comfortable beds, free toiletries in the bathroom room cleaned every day,towels changed most days. Food. As has been said in other reviews, the food is quite plentiful and varied but a lot of the meats are undercooked, tough and not very hot, my Wife had a Burger one night which was pink inside. Evening meal times are 19:30 to 22:30 which I think should be altered to 18:30 to 21:30 Pool. There are two pools, one rectangular in shape with a gentle slope to enter,the other is a Kiddies adventure pool, One thing to note is that Spanish school Holidays are from mid June until mid September,and being a Spanish orientated Hotel it was overrun with them,with parents taking young children and babies in nappies into the big pool,which I think is unhygienic, children under two should be in the kiddies pool. Big Shout out to Carolina the pool attendant who spoke great English and was very pleasant to talk to. On arrival you are given a wristband on which you can charge food and drink and operates the electronic lock on the room door, - one evening someone entered our room while we were in using their wristband I highlighted this to Reception who said I could not have closed my door properly as this can’t happen,on investigation it was found to be person from a room two doors away that had done it,I am still waiting for feedback on this. Beach. The local Beach is not vey good,being mainly Gravel/very small stones,take beach shoes with you. There are a few bars/ restaurants in the area but a lot of the staff struggle with English,so very basic Spanish would be a help. All in all a good time at the Hotel,but the room door security was a let down. Would I recommend this Hotel …….yes Would I stay here again……………….yes ,but be wary is Spanish school holidays.

We had a brilliant holiday here. Staff always happy and helpful. Rooms lovely and lots of room. Beds comfortable and big. Room made everyday. Lovely sea view. Pool and splash park brilliant. Food nice and a good variety every breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beach and sea nice. Though the beach is fine stones, but that didn't bother us too much. Nice little walk long the front with stalls selling things. Also little walk along shops for bits and bobs. You can hire towels for €10 each if you want. We were all inclusive so we had a much food and drink as you wanted, so we were never hungry Over all we had a brilliant holiday.
