La Perla Blanca - Ronda

A wonderful discovery in a peaceful vineyard yet only minutes from Ronda. The rooms and common areas are spotless, beds comfortable, and the breakfasts are fresh and local. New owner, Erick, and his extensive experience in hospitality are evident upon arrival as you feel the warmth and sincerity of his welcome. He wants you to enjoy your stay in the Ronda area and has a wealth of advice and suggestions to tailor your stay for maximum enjoyment of the area. There is even wine tasting at the on site bodega.

Fantastic place and location! Everything was wonderful with great attention to detail and little thoughtful touches. Remote enough set in a beautiful lush surrounding and yet close proximity to Ronda. Breakfast in bed overlooking palm trees outside our window was definitely a highlight. Highly recommend!!

We booked the suite with hot tub and I cannot tell you how disappointed we were. We were shown to the room and then we were shown the hot tub. The cover on the hot tub was filthy and the water was cold. The owner told us if we wanted the water hotter to empty some of the water out and fill it from the tap around the corner which was not very accessible. Basically, the hot tub doesn't heat the water. The area around the hot tub is messy and the fence is broken in parts. After arriving we didn't stay in the room long and went to Ronda for lunch. The hotel is about 10 minute drive from Ronda which we were happy with. When we returned, we realised how dirty the room was. It wasn't clean at all. The wardrobes smelt of damp and the shower in places was black. The shower also leaked badly onto the floor. The air conditioning unit in the room was faulty and after being on for about 30 minutes it leaked water so we had to turn it off. The water container for the coffee machine was crusty and I had to scrub it clean before we could use the machine. There were also used pods in the machine which you wouldn't expect. The kettle was disgusting - that's the only word I can use for it! I did report this to the owner who brought us another one.. Also, it is advertised as having a four poster bed, robes and drinking water. None of these were here. Basically, don't pay extra for the suite, it really isn't worth it. The accommodation is nothing like what it is advertised.

La Perla Blanca is a lovely farmhouse with a working vineyard onsite. The breakfast delivered to your door at 9.00 am was very nice and set you up for a good day. The pool was excellent and very refreshing on a hot summers day. The honesty bar is useful and well stocked. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s located 10 minutes from Ronda in a beautiful peaceful valley. Well worth a stay if you want to avoid the hustle or a town but be close enough to enjoy it.

Greàt friendly and helpful hosts. Slept like q baby in comfy bed. Chilled by the pool. Away from the madding crowds of town but easily accesible. Get on down to the Jen and Tom show. Ohhh and the breakfast baskets rock Even a swimming hole at the bottom of the garden if u really want to get au natural

La Perla Blanca felt like a quaint little place to stay, but since leaving, I can't help but feel it has left a sour taste. Were there nice features? Yes. The breakfast was nice, the host was lovely and helpful, and the honesty bar gave the whole place a homely feel. However, we booked the suite for a hot tub and it didn't work. It was cold. We mentioned this in the morning and a quick sorry and a promise that it would be warmer if we wanted to pay to use it again was offered in apology. When my husband and I then began talking about our stay, we found other things that didn't sit right with us. We'd been trying to book on the wine tour, but communication was poor. My husband had tried to surprise me by booking the romantic package with cava and chocolates, but it wasn't in the room when we arrived. My husband had to ask for it. Surprise ruined. The suite had non potable water, but we had to pay for water we could drink. The outside area was weedy and there was clearly a wasp nest nearby as any time we tried to go outside we were swarmed. The shower went from freezing to scalding every 15 seconds. Would I leave a disgruntled review usually for these things? Unlikely. But if you book a hot tub suite and the hot tub isn't hot, rendering it unusable, it makes you question if the whole stay was worth it. As it happens, we had a lovely weekend overall - but we also spent the majority of our time away from La Perla Blanca.
