Premier Inn London Romford (Mercury Gardens)

For a two person stay? There is always only one set of towels the bath empties all the plugs in it while you’re relaxing. If there’s ever a remote control for the TV it either doesn’t work or the battery case in this missing the battery casing for the thermostat was missing TV remote wouldn’t work if you get put in the annex half the time the outside security door doesn’t close or lock the rooms are dirty people smoke outside your window and other patrons stand outside shouting in the early hours of the morning

I have stayed here many times, it’s a good location and the staff are really good friendly and helpful. However as for the rooms which I’ve stayed in many they are in desperate need of a refurb. The beds smell even though they have clean sheets on, the pillows are old and also smell. The furniture needs replacing the chair in the room almost collapsed when I was there last week. The bathrooms old very bad smell coming from the sinks (bad drain smell) bathroom fan not working , carpets need replacing. The stairs near reception leading to the rooms always smells everytime I stay there. So overall the staff are excellent always friendly and welcoming but all rooms need a refurb! If they did a refurb I would give it 5 stars
