This atmospheric and well located hotel is at the very top of our list of hotels to stay in while in Rome. We needed to be at the Vatican everyday; this hotel was perfectly positioned so that we could easily access the Vatican on foot - and also so close to Campo de Fiore and Piazza Navona and the Pantheon (and surrounding neighborhoods), it was easy to find wonderful food after a short walk. (It was also an easy walk to the Forum and the Colosseum). Our double deluxe room was large, with huge windows, an extremely comfortable and large bed and plenty of storage (a built in closet). The bathroom was quite big with good lighting and an excellent hair dryer. Breakfast at the hotel is not to be missed - it was lavish (and was included in our stay) and changed every day (there were always different pastries, quiche, tiny breakfast sandwiches, along with a 'permanent' bar of cereals, juices, the MOST delicious fruit and yogurts). I believe that most of their breads and pastries were made on premise - which is very impresive, given how good they were! The hotel was exceedingly clean in all aspects and the staff was truly wonderful - happy and attentive. I read previous complaints about noise from the carabinieri stationed across the street in front of their building - but it seems that the hotel has installed soundproof windows, so it was easy enough to create a quiet room. It's a lively neighborhood (although this section of Via Giulia isn't lined with bars and restaurants), but the spillover from nearby establishments can sound like a party if you choose to open your windows. We found Hotel Dom very comfortable and accommodating and highly recommend it.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, direkt neben der Plaza de Espana, die Umgebung ist sehr lebhaft und es ist sehr praktisch, verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Das Fenster öffnet sich der rote Dessertladen, ich kann es kaum erwarten, Eis und Tiramisu zu kaufen. Es ist ungefähr drei oder vier Kilometer vom Kolosseum und dem Vatikan entfernt. Cartier, HERMES, MONCLER, JIMMY CHOO, GUCCI und andere Fachgeschäfte sind leicht zu erreichen. Das Straßenrestaurant nebenan ist authentisch. Das Hotel ist klein aber fein. Die Hotellobby ist typisch italienisch. Das Restaurant befindet sich im unteren Erdgeschoss und frische Schinkenscheiben, Salami, frische Croissants und Obst können gekocht werden. Herzlicher und nachdenklicher Service.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

We had the opportunity to stay in the ”new” area and the hotel contacted us the day before we arrived to notify us because we would be staying across the street from the main building. There was no one there to greet us but they did provide us door codes to let us in and left the key on the front desk. They charged a city tax which we had to pay at the front desk of the main hotel. The only issues we had for check in is that both parts of the hotel are non-descript and have no signage outside - for the main part you have to look for the street number and the hotel's name is on the call board. I don't think either desk has staff after hours but we felt safe. The newer rooms are located below ground level beside a fairly busy street. Only motorcycles were the issue and we didn't hear them between 9 pm and 7 am. The bed was comfy with good pillows and the room came with a desk, closet and chair. The room was big enough for the two of us but the bathroom quarters were tight with a slanted ceiling that was quite low. I had to duck to use the toilet and get in and out of the shower - I bumped my head a lot in the washroom at 180 cm. The shower had good pressure and they provided extra packets of shampoo and soap. The shower head placement is a bit weird but wasn't a deal breaker. The hotel had a kettle with some tea, instant coffee and Biscoff biscuits. In the hallway they had a Krup/Nespresso machine to make espresso and coffee from pods. Another nice feature is that since the rooms we stayed in were below ground they stayed nice and cool. There was also its own AC/heat machine in the room with an English remote so we could control the climate of the room. The area is quite cool and we were a 20 minute walk to the Vatican City Museum Entrance and 10 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. The Castel Sant'Angelo was right across the river from us and was really nice to look at day and night. The forum and Colosseum area were about 30 minutes away as well and there were many small attractions and good restaurants nearby. April is the start of high season in Rome and we paid more than we wanted to for this hotel but relative to other crazy prices in Rome we thought we got a decent deal for a good night's sleep while we explored Rome. The prices seem to fluctuate a lot at this hotel and you could probably get a good deal here in low season. To get here you can take a 20 minute ride from Roma Termini on Bus 40 or 64 which is 1.5 Euros. If you're coming from or going to the airport the SIT bus was an excellent option and costs 8 Euros for a comfy sit down bus with a couple of stops. You can also take a train/bus combo from the airport to Roma Termini and then to the hotel. Anyway it is pleasant and convenient.

Wir wählen dieses Hotel als 3-Tage-Vorfahrtspause, da wir noch nicht zu Rom waren. Es ist in einer tollen Lage, in der Nähe des Vatikan und Restaurants. Ich empfehle vorbuchende Touren zum Vatikanmuseum und zum Koliseum. Das Zimmer war spotless, Bett komfortabel und gute Dusche. Tee und Kaffee wurden angeboten, aber keine Milch. Nur Kritik. Stefano war sehr hilfreich, bietet eine Karte und erklärte das Gebiet. Er hat uns ein Restaurant reserviert, das war fabulös. Wir benutzten den Shuttle vom Flughafen und den Zug nach Civicchia, einfach und sehr günstig, wenn Sie Kreuzfahrt. Die U-Bahn war günstig und einfach zu benutzen, aber - WARNUNG Pick Taschen sind Rife und wir fiel Opfer, meine Männer Tasche gestohlen. Alles aus der Sicht halten. Sie können einen Beutel entzipieren, stehlen und zip es zurück ohne Sie wissen. Rom war erstaunlich und wir genossen es wirklich und würde Cassiodoro definitiv empfehlen 19 .
