"The rooms and bathrooms in this motel are spacious, modern and well designed with a fully equipped kitchenette. There’s a laundry on site so it’s handy for longer stays. It's in a great location right on the Warrego Highway and just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. There is a bit of noise from the Highway, but it didn’t really bother us. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the far side of the complex. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful – and gave us some useful dinner suggestions!"

"BE AWARE OF THE OWNERS ATTACKING DOGS!!!!! Unfortunately my family had a terrible experience at the Overlander Homestead Motel after staying 1 night. We cut our stay short when about 10 of the owners Dachshund dogs ran towards me barking aggressively as I was walking towards the pool area from our room to supervise our children in the pool. I was bitten 3 times on the legs through my jeans before the owner was able to get to me. This was unprovoked. She was extremely apologetic but it does not excuse the fact that both of the owners knowingly have these aggressive little dogs around the public! Could have been much worse if it was one of the children. This is not okay and I will not be recommending this business to anybody. Locals tell me this is not the first time the dogs have harassed people on the premises, so the owners are aware! We refused to stay the second night and had a much more pleasant stay in another motel, Athena, that was not as old and dated as this one."

"A comfortable stay in a convertible located, three minutes walk to the States and to two good pubs with good food options. Short walk to town centre. Spacious room. Clean room and bathroom. Fridge, microwave, desk, chairs. Toaster, cutlery, crockery available from reception. Good air conditioning and Wifi. Off street parking in front of room. Bed was comfortable. Quiet and good sleep. Shower had good hot water, exhaust , heater and good pressure. Convenient reading light switches. Would stay again. "

"Excellent layout of the executive apartment room, convenient, comfortable and private. Full sized frig and well equipped. The best motel in our outback holiday. Very quiet despite being on the Carnarvon Highway. Would Highly recommend."

"Es gibt drei Holzschritte bis zum Zimmer, in dem wir waren. Es gab eine Eisenbahn für Sicherheit, aber die Schirmtür auf diesem Sicherheitsbahn öffnete, um den Zugang zu ihm zu verhindern. Es machte es wirklich gefährlich, diese Holzschritte wie Treppen zu steigen. Ich bin 80 Jahre alt und viele Reisende älter. Bitte benutzen Sie den Kommen Sinn und reparieren Sie das und haben die Bildschirmtüren auf der anderen Seite, sonst wird jeder, der einen Fall hat, ein starkes Fall wegen mangelnder Sicherheit haben."
