You cannot beat the location or the view (from sea view rooms) at this hotel - absolutely fantastic for the money. However, I’m not sure if this is just because the hotel maybe hasn’t been opened for long after COVID, or if this is normal, but you should be be prepared to take everything but the kitchen sink. There is no hand soap, no dishwasher tablets, no dish cloth, no tea towel, no oven, no washing up liquid, no bread or vegetable knives - I could go on and on (and the flat was very dusty upon arrival, balcony was filthy - possibly again because it hasn’t been used in so long?) So if you’re staying here, be prepared to bring absolutely everything with you, buy it, or just make do without. This is not somewhere where you may find previous occupants had left some olive oil Lying around. If you are only using the kitchen for breakfast and having every other meal out, then this is ideal for you. There is a spar very nearby - be aware of shorter opening hours on a sunday. The beach bar outside the hotel is great, but you can only pay by cash (same for the Boulangerie in the town, who even though they have a card machine really object to using it). WiFi was also not included in our room rate which is highly unusual. There is no working launderette in Macinaggio (ignore what Google says) and no washing machine on site (meaning a two hour round trip to Bastia just to wash clothes which you also need cash for. The one in Brando is service wash only and gave me a six hour turnaround time). Also be aware of the daily three hour lunch break reception takes at the hotel - I think because they still aren’t very busy? - as if you lock yourselves out by mistake, as we did, you’ve got a three hour wait if you time it badly! All of the domestic issues aside, the beds were comfortable (although they were unmade, we had to do that upon arrival), the air con worked (note only in main room, so the kids were freezing on sofa bed under it and we were too warm in the bedroom) the views are great. To be honest, you aren’t going to get anywhere in Europe at peak season with these views, walking distance to a dozen or so lovely bars and restaurants, free parking, with this space right on a beach with those views in peak season for this money. I would stay here again - but will be far more prepared for the lack of provisions and support from the hotel.

Emplacement superbe dans un joli petit village en bord de mer. Dommage ! Locaux pas propres autant les parties communes que les appartements: mouchoirs usagés sous le canapé lit, sol sale, à l'ouverture du canapé lit:surprise poussière, pas assez de couverts pour 4 personnes.....et je vous en passe. Je signale mon mécontentement gentiment à l'accueil qui me dit qu'ils vont faire le nécessaire et que c'est normal que je signale ces désagréments. Nous revenons 1h plus tard, rien n'a bougé si ce n'est des draps propres posés sur la table mais c'est tout : mouchoir usagés toujours au même endroit, pas plus de vaisselle.... Formidable ! J'apprécie beaucoup le sourire de la dame d'accueil qui me dit que elle non plus elle n'apprecierait pas de louer un logement comme ça !!!! Fumisterie ! Le lieux est pourtant très sympa mais c'est tout !
