First and foremost, Robin, the owner was the sweetest, most gracious host!! We were late in arriving due to a missed flight and she was amazing in communication and understanding. She was a wealth of knowledge of the area as to where to eat and explore the Rocky Mount area and Smith Mountain Lake. The house took you back in time, beautifully decorated and charming!! Last but not least, the morning breakfasts were delightful. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for a fabulous stay, Robin!

We spent one night in the Bunting Room at the Clairborne. The owner, Robin, was very friendly and made a delicious breakfast, tastefully presented at the dining room table with lovely china. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, and our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. There is a nicely landscaped side yard which we didn't use, but it had a fire pit and a barbecue area.

What an amazing place!!! Myself and my sister booked to stay one night here after our previously booked accommodation was terrible and what an incredible find!!! It’s homely feel was a relief and our room (the Garden Room) was huge with its own balcony overlooking the garden and a view of the mountains…..just incredible. The bathroom had everything you needed and the beds were soooo comfortable. Amy the host was very friendly and helpful when needed and breakfast was lovely. We had the added experience of meeting Celia their beautiful cat and I’m not going to lie, we were ready to take her home!! Honestly, we were sad to leave and wish we had the opportunity to stay longer. If you get the chance, it’s worth a stay!!
