A quaint, turn-key B and B. The accommodations were lovely, and the evening sweet treat was a nice bonus. They serve fresh-baked pastries, fruit, yogurt, and coffee for a grab and go breakfast. Our only complaint was the faint odor from the shower drain (smelled of tomcat).

Nice place. Not a real Bed and Breakfast. Check in - no host. Check out - no host. They say they have homemade breakfast. One Yoplait Yogurt left. Sunny D. A few apples and crappy oranges. A few Nutria-grain bars. A few muffins and a few chocolate cake bars. I doubt they made them. “Homemade” and “Breakfast” - two words that are used on their web site. Wasn’t even on par with a chain continental breakfast. For $270, it was not even close to being a Bed and Breakfast. Disappointed by this less than personal service - change your web site and remove Homemade Breakfast from your site.

Well appointed, clean delightful house. With only six rooms in a large house, it feels very, very roomy. Unlike some places, nothing pedestrian, no IKEA furniture, no leftovers. Spacious living space, were you to want sitting space, spacious bedrooms, clean bathrooms, bathrobes, jacuzzi. Not just a hotel room. And while simple…pastries in the morning, a variety of coffee/tea always available, real half and half in the fridge, fruit you can take, some grain bars, little apple/orange juice bottles 24/7. Even popcorn you could nuke. Pie in the evening. No, not a hot breakfast, no, owners not living there, puttering around a common kitchen table, just a beautifully furnished old Victorian house. But, also with basic room/maid service. So much nicer than a hotel, and given the area, great value. Well done.

Nice and clean room in a good location. It is not what we excpected when we reserved a bed and breakfast place in Maine. We arrived at around 7pm. No one was in the house but an enveloppe with our name and key to the room, host was no show in our entire stay in the place. In the morning no host showed up and the breakfast was very poor (self service products with heating instructions). I booked a bed and breakfast not a self service airbnb or motel.

Our recent stay was an absolute delight. The beauty of the two buildings (Rockland Talbot House & Berry Manor Inn are one combined property) coupled with the outstanding service made our stay beyond expectations in every category. Our room and bath were modern and exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast meals were just right and are not to be missed. Added to this was the comfort of the sitting room where conversations with fellow guests just seemed so natural. I highly recommend these two delightful B&B's to anyone. I hope to come back for another stay soon.

Wonderful fall getaway to Rockland Talbot House! People, food, room, atmosphere are terrific. And, they welcome dogs too. Oh, and the nightly pies - just the thing after a day of exploring all that Rockland has to offer. Our second year and we hope to return for our third. Highly recommend!

Our brief but memorable stay at Talbot House was just lovely. We were greeted by Mary, the one and only, eager to share the story of the house and the experiences available to us in Rockland. Talbot House is a sister to the Berry Manor and Carriage House which abut the property. They share a well-maintained garden and lawns as well as porches, which we availed ourselves of to raising a glass of champagne for 56 yrs. of marriage!! Rooms are well appointed, and bathrooms are modern with rain showers and heated floor! Our hosts, Tammy and John served breakfast each morning, be it home cooked Belgian waffles to eggs benedict as well as juices and coffee. All are eager to engage in conversations with guests making everyone feel at home. And we enjoyed a late-night snack of homemade pie in the front parlor…feeling like an errant child at Gram’s house…waiting to be caught!! We recommend this Inn to you and know, if we were to return, it would be like receiving a warm hug! Thank you all for sharing your space and home with us. Ron and Joan, CT

A BEAUTIFUL Inn walkable distance to town. The inn was busy but is very quiet. Comfortable bed with luxurious linens. Thoughtful touches like a nightlight, fluffy robes, bottled water and especially the heated bathroom floor were appreciated! 24 hour self serve coffee, tea and delicious pie from a common room was lovely. The plated and served cooked breakfast varied daily and was fabulous! Could not have asked for anything more. Also, Tammy (owner) and Lori who served breakfast were exceptionally nice.

I stayed in the Talbot House for two nights over July 4th weekend. The room was quiet, spacious and extremely comfortable and the inn is a short walk from downtown. Breakfast was delicious and nicely served. Highly recommend!
