Wir gingen ins Gebäude und es gab einen Gentleman am Vordertischbereich auf dem Telefon und ein paar Damen im Frühstücksbereich chatting. Wir warten ein paar Minuten auf den Kerl, um aus dem Telefon zu kommen, als eine der Damen aufstieg und fragte, wie sie ein Paar uns helfen würde. Wir hatten keinen Hinweis, dass sie dort arbeitete, als wir gingen. Das Zimmer war auf der kleinen Seite, datiert und die Möbel in ihm war verbracht. Der Tisch in dem Zimmer, den wir gegeben hatten, war auf den letzten Beinen. Die Betten und das Kühlschrank waren jedoch gut. Es gab eine Mikrowelle, die wir nicht verwendeten. Es gab auch ein Keurig und 4 Kaffee-/Tee-Stecken. Das Badezimmer war subpar. Der Tub wurde gedämpft. Es gab einen Gummimatt im Tub, der teilweise aufgehoben wurde, als Sie den Tub benutzten. Nicht sicher, ob es ein Stick oder ein Gummimatt war und ich durfte es nicht aufzuheben, um zu prüfen. Überraschend waren alle Produkte im Badezimmer Dove und nicht die normale HIE-Sachen. Der Pool wurde geschlossen. Das Frühstück war gut, 2 Arten von Eiern und Fleisch aus wählen zu können, sowie Brötchen, Obst, Getreide. Die Panzermaschine wurde gebrochen.

Als ich dorthin ging, war die Kleidung nicht sehr getragen. Ich wurde etwas verachtet, aber beim Einchecken war ich höflicher. Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen, komplett ausgestattet und die Zimmer sind komfortabel, sauber und ordentlich. Check-in-Gäste sind formeller, treffen zufällig auf ein Klassentreffen. Am Tag des Check-outs wurde das Telefon voraussichtlich um eine Stunde verzögert und wurde bestätigt.

Does not deliver Marriott experience in many ways. To note, I was staying at the Roch Airport Fairfield Inn for business on a Thursday and Friday night - just so happens, the PGA Championship was also in Rochester that week... Thursday night check in and sleep - no problem. Beds are ok. However, I did notice a faint smell of something I would describe as a combination of cigar smoke and mold. Not nice. Friday breakfast rather disappointing. Hot breakfast starts at 8am but when I arrived at 8:10, they were already out of all of the hot items for breakfast and no water in sight. Kitchen staff looked puzzled as to where the food had gone and took their time bringing out more. Food was welcomed and good. No water - get it from the workout room or front desk I was told. Really? Many chairs broken and uncomfortable to sit in. Went to shower after. No hot water. Shower handle barely moves. I do my best to wash in cold water (sink wasn't much better) and tell them at the desk of the issue. They seemed to have known about this! Told me ”it was supposed to be fixed yesterday” blah blah whatever. I would like another room then. NOPE - full up. It is PGA weekend! They did not suggest that all of the hot water MAY have been used up by the other guests...they knew they had an issue. Friday night about 10pm. Did they fix the hot water in my room? No one knows. Can I have another room? Nope - full up. I check the shower, no hot water and handle is now what I would call broken - would not shut off all the way. Guess I expected the no hot water thing but the broken handle? What is going on? Did maintenance mess something up more-so? I was awoken at aprox 11:30pm by the hotel manager knocking then entering my room - while I was sleeping. He immediately accuses me of ”flooding the whole hotel”. WHAT are you talking about?? The broken shower apparently was filling up the service space behind the shower...flooding my room floor, the next room over and 3 rooms below. He notices the handle is broken and shuts of water from service space. Strange thing then happens: he immediately produces keys for another room just around the corner. Other rooms miraculously became available for me and for 3 other guests. Truly a miracle when you have been told twice that they are full and there are no other rooms for you. Reality: they had rooms. Bigger rooms. No other amenities - just more floor space as it was a corner room. No one initially wanted to spend the 6 mins to type and change my room - so laborious. I had to ask for the one night compensation - they were not going to give that to me. NOPE. DAB

overall good experience staying there but breakfast was not much to choose from

The Hilton Garden Inn is located within the Rochester University campus and only 5 minutes away from the wonderful and historic Mount Hope Cemetery. The hotel has a nicely decorated and welcoming lobby, with a restaurant on site that serves breakfast in the morning (my visit included the breakfast plan since I do not like going to look for breakfast in the morning). There were two comfortable double beds and a nice large bathroom in the room. Bed Linen and towels were clean and fluffy. The breakfast off the menu was good. I did not use the buffet but it did not appear to have a large variety. The hotel is a good jump off point to explore the Erie Canal, the fall colours of the Finger Lake District or just to walk along the Genesee River waterfront trail (which is lovely for walking and riding). So now for my issue with the housekeeping policy (not the housekeepers I would like to add). And yes, I am going to get political here! We were told upon arrival that because of Covid the rooms would be cleaned on the fifth day of stay or if we request it by calling before 8am the day we wanted to have the room cleaned. OK, policy understood! Some people can go for days without needing the room cleaned, I am not one of those people. One of the things I like most about staying in hotels is having daily housekeeping and arriving back in the room with the bed made and fresh towels if I leave them in the bath tub (which I do not do everyday). So twice we called, before 8 am to make the appointment. The phone rang for a long time, eventually we spoke to the front desk and the person took the room number and confirmed the request. Twice the room housekeepers never came and the room was never cleaned. What the hotel and the Hilton chain, as a whole, will not freely admit is that they have turned housekeeping into a ”gig” economy. The housekeepers are suppose to wait each day for a call. If they get a call, they work, if they not, no work. No work, no pay. So, to the surprise of no one, those mostly women of color were smart enough to get a regular and better paying job else, with guaranteed hours. That has left a smaller pool of available housekeepers. The hotel chain is making excessive profits on the backs of the lowest paying people in the hotel business. In addition, they do not tell you when you book that the room rate does not include housekeeping (so ask before booking), they do not amend the rates because they no longer clean the rooms. Same rates less service! There is simply something wrong with that business model that I cannot move on from as a traveler. In the future, I will be vetting the house keeping policy for all hotels before book.

Es ist das ganze Hotel in Niko, aber es ist der normale Niko. Der Service ist sehr gut. Es ist sehr freundlich. Das gerade eingerichtete Hotel ist sehr neu. Das Badezimmer und das Badezimmer sind neu. Der Preis ist sehr hoch. After all, es ist Kathy sehr fett.

After being unhappy at another chain location, I switched from my usual brand and joined Radisson Rewards for this booking, with a great rate. Arrived here from ROCHESTER International Airport by LYFT ride, not knowing how long I would be staying, or what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a nice area, on busy Route 31, Monroe Ave , East of the city, but still close to all major attractions, like GeorgeEastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Highland Park, Rochester Museum and Science Center, by car, also on city bus routes. My comfy accessible room is roomy and restful, with a King bed and roll-in shower, many safety bars in bathroom. There is a window unit for climate control , Microwave and fridge in my room, and a 40 inch flat screen TV that has a sharp picture with premium channels. Room and lobby WIFI works well., except with my Apple phone. Cozy family reading area with adult and children's books and a single computer/printer business center in lobby. I was happy to find a small coin operated laundromat and a tiny gym, with two machines. Amenities include a very good hot and cold breakfast served in lobby, with 24/7 refreshment and coffee/tea bar. Spunkmeyer cookies at desk, a small convenience store for essentials, including frozen entrees. Smoke free premises, however there is an outside seating area, with wooden Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for smokers. Four Electric car charging stations make this a great location for modern savvy travelers who care about the environment. Coffee-Tea stations in room and lobby were well stocked. The diverse cheerful and helpful staff keep all common areas very clean; all of them are very helpful and accommodating . I enjoyed conversing with International guest clientele in several languages, including Japanese tourists. With rewards member rates, its a great deal and price point. Ethnic restaurants and shopping nearby, including Pittsford Plaza and Eastview Mall . I recommend this hotel to all traveler friends in this area, and beyond, including my 50,000. travel chat buddies on Facebook, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, without hesitation. Das Hotelpersonal macht uns immer willkommen und sorgt dafür, dass unser Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich ist. Mein Sohn muss alle wenigen Wochen ins Krankenhaus nach Rochester kommen und wir bleiben immer an dieser Stelle. Nicht nur für das Bewusstsein, sondern auch für die Unterkunft und das Personal sind erstaunlich.
