Pine Ridge Dude Ranch

We had a trip planned for the summer that was canceled due to Pine Ridge going out of business. My kids love horses so we tried Rocking Horse Ranch for the first time and absolutely fell in love. Our first impression when driving in was how immaculate and beautiful the grounds are. It felt epic and special right off the bat and that's how the entire trip went! There was so much to do at all times and EVERYTHING was included for our family. We rode horses multiple times a day and loved watching them cross the street in the afternoon. We laughed and had so much fun on the banana boats in the lake. The pools and slides (both indoors and out and HEATED) were a blast for all of us. Food was delicious and plentiful. If you're looking for a dude ranch getaway, but want even more, I highly recommend Rocking Horse Ranch.

The only reason why I give a 4 star review vs 5 star is that it seemed that they were overbooked with lack of staff. I would absolutely give staff especially staff at the barn 5 out of 5 stars. My son and I were very sad to learn that the ranch is closing. We did however make the best of our last trip. The staff continue to be beyond amazing and this is the first vacation spot that has truly felt like a second home. Everyone is exceptionally welcoming and kind. We spent the majority of our time at the barn, okay maybe all of our time. It is reassuring to see that all the horses continue to look great and the trail rides are still top notch. It is clear that the wranglers care deeply for the horses and show what true horsemanship looks like along with partnership with their primary horse. This was an invaluable lesson for my son. My son has developed a special relationship with the wranglers and one horse in particular over the years, this has been priceless. We will forever be thankful for the wranglers going out of their way with constant kindness, humor, and instruction. My son and I have become strong western riders thanks to our experiences at Pine Ridge. We wish all of you our best with your future endeavors!!
