Meine Frau und ich bleiben in dieser Lage in Rochester, wenn wir die Familie besuchen (ca. 2-3 mal im Jahr). Unsere Aufenthalte waren immer außergewöhnlich, auch während der Covid-Pandemie, während der Covid-Beschränkungen vor der Eincheckung erläutert wurden. Es gibt einige Mitarbeiter, die uns erkennen und ein paar Minuten mit uns sprechen. Die Associaten am Frontdesk sind immer zugänglich und befassen sich mit allen Bedenken, die wir haben könnten, auch wenn es ihnen nur sagt, dass der Kaffeeurn im Lounge leer ist. Ich habe bemerkt, dass jeder, einschließlich der Fürsorger und Wartungspersonal, immer in guter Stimmung scheint, und die Interaktion zwischen den Partnern ist immer angenehm. Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Pool und der Übungsraum sind sauber und eine angemessene Größe. Morgenstunde ist immer gespeichert, mit einer Auswahl, die die meisten Ernährungen erfüllen würde. Ich habe keine negative Kommentare über diese Lage.

We always stay at Staybridge Suites when visiting Rochester and have always enjoyed it because of it’s location on the river. If you have a river view room there’s a great view. The room is very large with a good little kitchen (which we never used) and a totally separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. BUT a word of caution: Right now the hotel is undergoing some kind of renovation on the 3rd floor. i kept answering our door but the sound turned out to be construction on the floor below. The constant use of the elevator by the construction people made for long waits for the elevator so we had to use the stairs. By fair the worst trend is that there is NO room cleaning service on the weekends, so if you come on a Friday night you can expect your room to look kind of dreary through Sunday. I don’t care for this trend at all. They don’t even change the towels. Ugh. The TV is very hard to work and we had to call the desk twice as we were settling in—once because there were NO hangers and once because there was no hairdryer. So, if you want a hotel that’s up and running, this is not a particularly good time to stay at the Staybridge. There are no extra amenities here such as a magnifying mirror etc.

The Hilton Garden Inn is located within the Rochester University campus and only 5 minutes away from the wonderful and historic Mount Hope Cemetery. The hotel has a nicely decorated and welcoming lobby, with a restaurant on site that serves breakfast in the morning (my visit included the breakfast plan since I do not like going to look for breakfast in the morning). There were two comfortable double beds and a nice large bathroom in the room. Bed Linen and towels were clean and fluffy. The breakfast off the menu was good. I did not use the buffet but it did not appear to have a large variety. The hotel is a good jump off point to explore the Erie Canal, the fall colours of the Finger Lake District or just to walk along the Genesee River waterfront trail (which is lovely for walking and riding). So now for my issue with the housekeeping policy (not the housekeepers I would like to add). And yes, I am going to get political here! We were told upon arrival that because of Covid the rooms would be cleaned on the fifth day of stay or if we request it by calling before 8am the day we wanted to have the room cleaned. OK, policy understood! Some people can go for days without needing the room cleaned, I am not one of those people. One of the things I like most about staying in hotels is having daily housekeeping and arriving back in the room with the bed made and fresh towels if I leave them in the bath tub (which I do not do everyday). So twice we called, before 8 am to make the appointment. The phone rang for a long time, eventually we spoke to the front desk and the person took the room number and confirmed the request. Twice the room housekeepers never came and the room was never cleaned. What the hotel and the Hilton chain, as a whole, will not freely admit is that they have turned housekeeping into a ”gig” economy. The housekeepers are suppose to wait each day for a call. If they get a call, they work, if they not, no work. No work, no pay. So, to the surprise of no one, those mostly women of color were smart enough to get a regular and better paying job else, with guaranteed hours. That has left a smaller pool of available housekeepers. The hotel chain is making excessive profits on the backs of the lowest paying people in the hotel business. In addition, they do not tell you when you book that the room rate does not include housekeeping (so ask before booking), they do not amend the rates because they no longer clean the rooms. Same rates less service! There is simply something wrong with that business model that I cannot move on from as a traveler. In the future, I will be vetting the house keeping policy for all hotels before book.

Das Hotel Rochester ist sehr günstig. Sehr neu und sauber, das Zimmer ist groß genug, es gibt einen Schal, um etwas zu essen. Sehr nah an der Hochgeschwindigkeits-Einfahrt in den Schal, und es ist sehr bequem, zu fahren.

Does not deliver Marriott experience in many ways. To note, I was staying at the Roch Airport Fairfield Inn for business on a Thursday and Friday night - just so happens, the PGA Championship was also in Rochester that week... Thursday night check in and sleep - no problem. Beds are ok. However, I did notice a faint smell of something I would describe as a combination of cigar smoke and mold. Not nice. Friday breakfast rather disappointing. Hot breakfast starts at 8am but when I arrived at 8:10, they were already out of all of the hot items for breakfast and no water in sight. Kitchen staff looked puzzled as to where the food had gone and took their time bringing out more. Food was welcomed and good. No water - get it from the workout room or front desk I was told. Really? Many chairs broken and uncomfortable to sit in. Went to shower after. No hot water. Shower handle barely moves. I do my best to wash in cold water (sink wasn't much better) and tell them at the desk of the issue. They seemed to have known about this! Told me ”it was supposed to be fixed yesterday” blah blah whatever. I would like another room then. NOPE - full up. It is PGA weekend! They did not suggest that all of the hot water MAY have been used up by the other guests...they knew they had an issue. Friday night about 10pm. Did they fix the hot water in my room? No one knows. Can I have another room? Nope - full up. I check the shower, no hot water and handle is now what I would call broken - would not shut off all the way. Guess I expected the no hot water thing but the broken handle? What is going on? Did maintenance mess something up more-so? I was awoken at aprox 11:30pm by the hotel manager knocking then entering my room - while I was sleeping. He immediately accuses me of ”flooding the whole hotel”. WHAT are you talking about?? The broken shower apparently was filling up the service space behind the shower...flooding my room floor, the next room over and 3 rooms below. He notices the handle is broken and shuts of water from service space. Strange thing then happens: he immediately produces keys for another room just around the corner. Other rooms miraculously became available for me and for 3 other guests. Truly a miracle when you have been told twice that they are full and there are no other rooms for you. Reality: they had rooms. Bigger rooms. No other amenities - just more floor space as it was a corner room. No one initially wanted to spend the 6 mins to type and change my room - so laborious. I had to ask for the one night compensation - they were not going to give that to me. NOPE. DAB

Wir gingen ins Gebäude und es gab einen Gentleman am Vordertischbereich auf dem Telefon und ein paar Damen im Frühstücksbereich chatting. Wir warten ein paar Minuten auf den Kerl, um aus dem Telefon zu kommen, als eine der Damen aufstieg und fragte, wie sie ein Paar uns helfen würde. Wir hatten keinen Hinweis, dass sie dort arbeitete, als wir gingen. Das Zimmer war auf der kleinen Seite, datiert und die Möbel in ihm war verbracht. Der Tisch in dem Zimmer, den wir gegeben hatten, war auf den letzten Beinen. Die Betten und das Kühlschrank waren jedoch gut. Es gab eine Mikrowelle, die wir nicht verwendeten. Es gab auch ein Keurig und 4 Kaffee-/Tee-Stecken. Das Badezimmer war subpar. Der Tub wurde gedämpft. Es gab einen Gummimatt im Tub, der teilweise aufgehoben wurde, als Sie den Tub benutzten. Nicht sicher, ob es ein Stick oder ein Gummimatt war und ich durfte es nicht aufzuheben, um zu prüfen. Überraschend waren alle Produkte im Badezimmer Dove und nicht die normale HIE-Sachen. Der Pool wurde geschlossen. Das Frühstück war gut, 2 Arten von Eiern und Fleisch aus wählen zu können, sowie Brötchen, Obst, Getreide. Die Panzermaschine wurde gebrochen.

After being unhappy at another chain location, I switched from my usual brand and joined Radisson Rewards for this booking, with a great rate. Arrived here from ROCHESTER International Airport by LYFT ride, not knowing how long I would be staying, or what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a nice area, on busy Route 31, Monroe Ave , East of the city, but still close to all major attractions, like GeorgeEastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Highland Park, Rochester Museum and Science Center, by car, also on city bus routes. My comfy accessible room is roomy and restful, with a King bed and roll-in shower, many safety bars in bathroom. There is a window unit for climate control , Microwave and fridge in my room, and a 40 inch flat screen TV that has a sharp picture with premium channels. Room and lobby WIFI works well., except with my Apple phone. Cozy family reading area with adult and children's books and a single computer/printer business center in lobby. I was happy to find a small coin operated laundromat and a tiny gym, with two machines. Amenities include a very good hot and cold breakfast served in lobby, with 24/7 refreshment and coffee/tea bar. Spunkmeyer cookies at desk, a small convenience store for essentials, including frozen entrees. Smoke free premises, however there is an outside seating area, with wooden Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for smokers. Four Electric car charging stations make this a great location for modern savvy travelers who care about the environment. Coffee-Tea stations in room and lobby were well stocked. The diverse cheerful and helpful staff keep all common areas very clean; all of them are very helpful and accommodating . I enjoyed conversing with International guest clientele in several languages, including Japanese tourists. With rewards member rates, its a great deal and price point. Ethnic restaurants and shopping nearby, including Pittsford Plaza and Eastview Mall . I recommend this hotel to all traveler friends in this area, and beyond, including my 50,000. travel chat buddies on Facebook, Yelp, and TripAdvisor, without hesitation. Note : BOOK well in advance; it's a popular spot. They are sold out for this weekend, and the entire LPGA tour coming up soon,

Rochester hat nicht viele gute Hoteloptionen in der unmittelbaren Nähe, und das Hotel, das ich verwendet habe, ist seitdem hinunter und wieder als eine tiefste Budget-Marke geflaggt. Also, während meine jüngste Reise in die Region, um Familie zu besuchen, musste ich meinen Suchradius ausweiten, um einen Ort zu finden, um für die Nacht zu bleiben, bevor ich nach Hause fliege. Diese Suche führte mich zum Hampton Inn & Suites in Henrietta. Es befindet sich in einem besetzten Geschäftsbereich mit vielen Restaurants, Geschäften und Marketplace Mall in leichter Reichweite. Das Hotel ist typisch für Hampton Inn, das ist genau das, was ich für diesen kurzen Übernachtungszeitraum wollte - sauber, komfortabel und modern, ohne unerfreuliche Überraschungen. Es ist jedoch eine schöne Überraschung - wie die Erhöhung in eine Königssuite aufgrund meiner Notwendigkeit für eine Kombination aus Dusche und Dusche im Badezimmer. Ich war sehr dankbar, auch wenn es nur für die Nacht selbst war. Meine Suite, 442, ist typisch für Hampton Inn & Suites und ihre Suiten - Sofa und geholsterten Stuhl auf einer Seite des Zimmers, mit dem Bett auf der anderen. Mitten ist ein langes Desk/Tisch, das die beiden Bereiche trennen. Es gibt einen schweißbefestigten Fernseher, der über dem Desktop angebracht ist, das entweder das Bett oder das Sofa anzusehen ist. Es gibt eine nasse Bar mit Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank, wenn Sie die Suite eintreten, mit dem Bad und Vanitätsbereich neben dem Schlafzimmer. Die Suite war sehr sauber und alles war in guter Ordnung. Der geholsterte Stuhl und Desk hatte eine kosmetische Kleidung, aber nichts Großes. Der Fernseher war auf der alten Seite, aber am Morgen bemerkte ich, dass neue Fernsehgeräte in den Boxen an das Hotel geliefert werden, so dass es bald ein Mootingpunkt sein wird. Ein Anmerkung: Wenn Sie die Lieferung von Nahrungsmitteln bestellen, müssen Sie nach unten kommen, um sie zu holen - Lieferfahrer können sie nicht bei Ihrer Tür wegwerfen. Das heiße Frühstücksbuffet ist hoch und läuft, und es gibt ein schönes Frühstücksraum. Ich habe mich noch entschieden, meine zu meinem Zimmer zurückzunehmen, aus offensichtlichen Gründen, die mit COVID zusammenhängen. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr professionell und freundlich, und ich muss ihnen nochmals für die Suite-Upgrade danken. Und sie haben einen Flughafenshuttle, so die Nähe zum Flughafen selbst war keine Sorge. Ich besuche das Gebiet nicht mehr als einmal oder zweimal im Jahr, aber das Hampton Inn & Suites in Henrietta ist jetzt mein fahren-to-Rochester Hotel, wann immer ich besuche. Sie bieten saubere, zuverlässige Unterkünfte mit einem freundlichen und professionellen Personal. Mit ihrem Flughafen-Shuttle-Service ist es auch eine ausgezeichnete Alternative zu den weniger wünschenswerten Hotels im Flughafen.
