"The hotel needs updating. With the climate change, adding air conditioning to the rooms is essential for guest comfort. A fan is not enough to cool the rooms. Also, the carpeting needs to the updated. Our room had a 3” wide hole in the carpet. The carpet appeared to be at least 20 years old. With few restaurants on the island and close by, it would be nice to offer some food service that could allow guests who arrive on the late ferry the opportunity to eat something other than needing to trek to the convenience store. The service was fine and the shuttle service was much appreciated."

"Good location that is close to the ferry terminal. This is important because the bus terminal is also there if you want to travel to other parts of the island. Suggest to request for a sea view room (the breeze is nice and the view of the mountain in the background as well is superb) The meals were one of the best I had during my trip (which included onsen hotels). For dinner, it was Japanese-style, set up very nicely by the time I arrived for dinner. The ingredients were fresh with great variety and the service was great (even though the menu is there in English, the waitresses still try to point them out to you, as some are not as obvious). I requested for an earlier [to start at 5:45am instead of 6:00am] breakfast due to my itinerary, and they were accommodating. The breakfast was also Japanese-style. It was good, but the dinner was just better. "

Diese normale kleine Inn, eine große oder zwei kleine, ohne Essen braucht mehr als 3000 eine Nacht, mein Herz ist sehr gemütlich. "The room size is decent with separate bed. This makes it great for couples and mini group of friends. The breakfast and dinner provided are slightly above average but overall, filling and comfy. The reception is extremely great, providing trips to your travelling plans, from ferrying to the terminal and even base of Mount Rishiri for hiking in my experience. Overall, would like to come here again should the chance provides itself to revisit Rishiri Island. PS: They have onsen(500 yen, less than 10minutes walk) and free bicycle for small travelling distance too!"

"素泊まり１泊でした。宿の方は丁寧でした。お風呂やトイレは共同ですが綺麗でした。アメニティも浴衣、タオル類、歯ブラシあります。ドライヤーは部屋にありました。全体的に古めではありますが快適に過ごせました！ 神経質な方は気になるかもしれません。わたしは虫が平気ですが室内に虫が入ってきたりもしました（ダンゴムシのようなもので特に害はないと思いますが、、） 島を堪能できました！"

"A good option for traveling around the island, nice breakfast and dinner. Coin laundry is very convenient for hikers. Sometimes one side of the island is cloudy while the other is sunny, so I recommend checking the live cameras to not miss a great view."

"ホテル利尻の部屋は十分に大きく、清潔なのですが、バスルームがとても古く、特にシャワーが出始めにいつも冷水が出て来るので、夏は我慢出来ても、冬は心臓に負担がかかりそうです。お風呂に関しては、もっと安く泊まれたゲストハウスやペンションのお風呂の方が良かったです。ホテル利尻には大浴場もあるので、私は行かなかったのですが、そちらの方が良かったのかも知れません。"
