First off, it bears repeating the Ilze--the day-to-day property manager--was absolutely fantastic. She was super responsive to any question we had, whether it was for some additional kitchen utensils or advice about services in Riga. Ilze alone is a great reason to stay here. We stayed in for about a month, and were quite happy. The apartment themselves appear recently updated and had a nice clean look to them and 3m ceilings. We didn't notice much noise from neighbours. I believe each apartment is a little different, but in our case the kitchen was OK, it had a nice gas range, but it didn't have a microwave and only a toaster oven was a bit awkward to use due to is position. Location is pretty good, only about an 10 minute walk to the central train station and a largish grocery story is about an 8 minute. We had a small child and were able to leave a stroller on the main floor (which other people did as well). There is an elevator, but you do have to go up 1 flight of stairs to get to it, and one flight of stairs after the elevator to get to you apartment. The nearest playground however, was at least about 12 minutes away. Head's-up... * If you intend to do a lot of cooking, check to find out what appliances you apartment has * If you have mobility constraints, remember that despite the elevator you will still have some stairs to deal with Suggestion to management: I never mentioned this, but it would be great if the door stop for the main door could be repositioned, it prevents the door from opening completely and made it harder to get in (particularly with a stroller.
