We were surprised and pleased to find a car parking space on a Friday night. We paid on exit and got a (very) small discount but £20 for 24 hours was about right. We had the rooms that we had asked for (eg a twin bed) and I was pleased that my mum on the same booking had been allocated a room next door to us. We found the staff to be friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The refurbished shower was outstanding. The location is excellent with lots of options; we caught the 371 to Richmond Parkrun, we walked into Richmond, we walked back from North Sheen station after we had been to Battersea Power Station. We chose not to have breakfast and but found the most amazing breakfast cafe opposite (have you watched Breaking Bad?!). Dropped a ‘circle’ as the bar wasn’t fully functional and our TV reception was dreadful (you couldn’t actually watch it!). I was also annoyed that my key card stopped working at 11:30am and when I asked to have it renewed I was told ‘you know check out is 12pm’…well yes, but I actually need to get my belongings out! However, I would absolutely stay here again if I needed to.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn many times over the years. The rooms [now refurbished] are always clean and the beds comfortable. The Staff, in particular Sneddon, are polite and helpful. The hotels position is on a direct bus route to several places including the train [tube, overland] station which is very convenient.

I have considerable respect and admiration for the Premier Inn brand and readily acknowledge that it is of a budget variety. Generally they are normally very good, comfortable and perfectly acceptable for a decent stay away from home of any length. Then, we have this one! Arriving 25 minutes ahead of the “prescribed” arrival time we were told we would have to pay £10 to check in right then. We didn’t, repairing to the lovely welcoming pub next door (which offers rudely acceptable Thai cuisine cheaply) we had a drink and went back at 3.01pm. We were checked in to an already occupied room and had to go back down to clarify. 20 minutes later, a new room was allocated and all was well ( you kind of wonder had they been more accommodating and not trying to hide behind fantasy company policy at 2.35 pm, the inconvenience to all - those waiting to check in whilst we returned to reception included, would have been minimised). This, by the way, is for the Premier Plus offering, so a higher standard might ordinarily be expected. Out for the night, we returned to the most uncomfortable bed you can imagine - so much for the ‘more comfort’ opening strap line in their promotional advertising. The following morning, we have one towel to share (oh, more comfort again?) when we shower and a t breakfast a 20 minutes queue for a table and when we get in the restaurant, it’s dirty, understaffed, food is non-existent/unreplenished and chaos reigns supreme for the duration. For £250 per night, wholly unacceptable by any standard. If you are lucky enough to find any stay cheaper elsewhere, just avoid - it’s a dysfunctional pit in comparison to a full service hotel.

We arrived late and was able to get a table in the restaurant and had a lovely evening meal. Attentive service every small request was met with no issues. Room size was fab and no noise from the busy road. Restful night ready for hitting the sites and shops the next day. Great all round!
