The first room we were given had pet hair (was told it is a pet free hotel) all over the carpet and a terrible odor... Discovered a cigarette butt in the garbage can (non-smoking hotel). My mild asthma was triggered & my chest felt tight. The gentleman at the front desk was apologetic and moved us to a bigger nearby room. The second room was better, but clearly the vacuum is less than adequate, or cleaning staff do a rushed job. Dirt all around the edges of the room-- everywhere except the main walking areas. When I asked a housekeeper the next morning (had events and not time the night of check in) if I could just get a quick vacuum, she replied that I could get the vacuum and use it myself. I should have just done this so it was cleaned to my standard, but I said the room was clearly not vacuumed well when we arrived but didn't have time to ask the night before. I explained what had happened with our first room and she then said she'd take care of doing our room. She also said the other maid had been given several warnings in the past. She vacuumed better, but dirt still remained in easily visible areas. Beds and bedding were clean, smell was much better though still off (I simply ran my diffuser during my stay). Pool area was clean, breakfast was simple but good-- cereal, yogurt, pastries, waffles)

Overall a great experience…Staff was very helpful and showed they took pride in their job.Television would not work and after several attempts to fix it by the night staff we were moved to another room and everything worked fine!

Our room was the wrong one when we checked in. The rate was kindly fixed by front desk staff. BTU, the room we enemies up in had hair on the toilet, hair in the sheets, crumbs on the office chair, cobwebs in the corner and much more dust and dirt. When I went to ask for clean sheets, I was asked what room we were in, so I told her. I then nicely told her the room was dirty, but just wanted clean sheets and would deal with the rest. Without saying a word, she went and got sheets, handed them to me, I said thank you and that was the end of the conversation. No, I’m sorry or can I take a look……… nothing! Very upsetting that care for customers comfortable stay or return does not seem to be a factor there. I took many pictures, but choose to not be that mean!!

Hotel was clean. Worker's were very nice, helpful. Had not issues with key cards. Room was clean and prepared great for my wife and I. Would recommend this Hotel. We were there for a racing event and will share with our racing friends who travel to stay at AmericInn in Rice Lake

Nice, quiet overnight stop. Good value for the money with easy on and easy off the major highway. Far enough away that you didn't hear the road noise. We were close to decent restaurants and were able to have a very nice dinner..

No elevator and No gondolan up stairs to move luggage I was here for construction work for a few weeks, good, safe place, plenty places to eat near by, better then a small town, Kwik-Trips have lots to offer in food, gas and free ATM, Kwik-Trip's are about a mile each way from American Inn
