For a one nights stay at nearly £166 it was very expensive for the facilities. It was in School holiday period and at the sea front so in a way it was expected to cost more than the regular price. On the plus side the room was as expected ie_ Nice comfortable bed - roomy and spacious bathroom. Car parking was available but a little further down the road from the hotel. The sea front is being upgraded and access was not available to the beach at the moment. The Aquarium across the road was also closed (I think) due to the work being done. Litter was everywhere but the street cleaners were out very early in the morning. On the negative side _ 1. USB charging points could be better - eventually found only one in the room by the bed. 2. Noise from the room above was unexpected. Was woken around 11pm and again at 12.30 as we could hear the people on the 2nd floor walking about in their room. Was informed at reception that it was an older part of the building and possibly with wooden flooring and apologised. 3. Did not cause us a problem but the toilet overflow was constantly running into the toilet and wasting lots of water. 4. Only 5 Disabled parking spots available which were obviously taken up very quickly. 5. Some items at breakfast could have been better - Black Pudding (Tasteless) and Fried Eggs (Rubbery) both were very solid and over cooked. 6. Price advertised in the room for breakfast was £9.99 - This was out of date as the price is now £10.99 (Confirmed by the reception staff who said that the information in the rooms had not been updated yet). I did not think the price was justified for the quality of some of the available food.
