The owner of the house Katrina is a really charming, pleasant and helpful woman. She welcomed us with a tray of water and sweets. She gave us very worthwhile recommendations to visit the city and the island in general. The best service I have ever received. Very personal but also considerate of personal space and privacy. The location is right in the heart of the old city, close to everything but also very quiet and pleasant. The mattress in the bed is really, really comfortable!! Comfortable pillows and pleasant bedding. The rooms are decorated to a high standard, the whole hotel is a preserved building that has been lovingly renovated. And the breakfast is simply excellent at a high level! The experience was excellent, highly recommended! You can't fall in a hotel like this, just success!!

The Porolithos is a charming small hotel, built within the stones of the home of a 14th century Knight Templar. The original footprint and walls of the home are intact and lovingly restored, so the rooms feel ancient, but they contain fully modern amenities. The couple that own and manage the hotel are so gracious and welcoming. They prepare a wonderful breakfast each day, and they take great care to ensure that you enjoy your time at the hotel and everywhere on Rhodes. We couldn't recommend the Porolithos hotel more highly! 10 out of 10 for sure!

A stay at the Porolithos Boutique Hotel within the walls of the medieval town of Rhodes is an incredibly unique and pleasant experience! The renovation of the property is a sight to behold. The stay was flawless - the room, the service, the food, etc. were excellent. Katerina and her husband are amazing hosts who can arrange details for you (rental car, airport transfers, restaurant suggestions, etc) to make your stay seamless. Rhodes Old Town itself is full of interesting sites around every turn and the Portolithos is in the perfect location to explore. You are in for an exceptional stay if you choose the Portolithos!

This boutique hotel was an incredibly charming, beautifully adorned hotel in a 14th century prior home of a knight Templar. The rooms were stunning, clean and lovely. The breakfasts were amazing and the hostess Katerina was delightful and extremely helpful. Her hospitality was exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel for an enchanting stay in the old city of Rhodes.

Just returned from Porolithos and want to thank Katerina for her outstanding hospitality. She went out of her way to help us with our transfer and offered us the service of the hotel long after we had checked out. She is genuinely committed to providing the very best service to her guests, who she treats as new friends. Katerina and her husband are justifiably proud of this amazing little gem of a hotel and their attention to detail is unmatched. The breakfasts get many accolades, but truly, it's a delightful experience and Katerina and her husband serve it with much love and care. A unique and wonderful place. I cannot recommend it more highly.

The Porolithos Hotel is the most charming hotel I have stayed in, a lovingly restored 14th century medieval knight’s home. The medieval home was lovingly and painstakingly restored by Katerina and Zafeiris during the pandemic and each of the rooms are unique and exquisitely furnished with antique furniture and old paintings of Rhodes that reflect the rich history of the island, which boasts a diverse range of cultures, from ancient Greek to medieval Europe, Ottomans and Italians. The city has so much history that anywhere you dig, you will find antiquities. This was the case at the Porolithos Hotel , which includes a vitrine of finds vetted by the archaeological department of Rhodes. The hotel has a very homely feel and Katerina and Zafeiris are perfect hosts who will not leave you hungry - breakfast is a royal affair, replete with several courses, including delights such as traditional Greek cheese pies, yoghurt and honey as well as fresh fruit. You are unlikely to need lunch and any other guidance about the city after the very comprehensive introduction to Rhodes that Katerina and Zafeiris will provide you with. I am especially grateful for the time Katerina and Zafeiris took to help me with my attempt to learn Greek as well as providing me with a packed breakfast for an early day trip to the island of Kos. ευχαριστώ πολύ.
