Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, der Supermarkt und der Busbahnhof sind leicht zu erreichen und werden bei der nächsten Reise wieder gebucht.

Tolle Unterkunft nur einen Steinwurf vom Zentrum entfernt, mit Küche. Das geräumige Zimmer, bequeme Betten.

Extremely unfriendly hosts. Accommodation was ok but we had to call them for the Wi-Fi code, as we got nothing but the keypad codes in the info leading up to the stay. The instructions for the use of the hot tub were also nowhere to be found and after a really unfriendly response from the hosts re the wifi code, we didn’t feel comfortable calling them again. I hasten to add that the experience we had with the hosts of the other six places we stayed on our trip in Iceland was always very friendly and welcoming and nothing like the hosts at Baldursbra!

Lots of dust on skirtings and behind small refrigerator in bedroom. Bad smell from sink in bedroom. I note someone previously complained about this and the owners response was that it was due to geothermal water. However I stayed elsewhere in Iceland where water was also from geothermal source and there was no bad smell of water. A toilet on our floor had urine which was dried in on the front of the toilet, it appeared to be there for a while. The owner kindly stored our luggage and beds comfortable. I unfortunately cannot recommend this guesthouse due to hygiene standards.

When we arrived there was no one at reception. There was a note allocating rooms but we didnt have one. We tried calling but no one answered the phone (the mobile was at reception). An hour later the hosts turned up and shrugged and said sometimes bookings don't get through, they get stuck in the backlog. They didn't seem concerned about keeping us waiting or that we might have no where to stay. Luckily they weren't full so we got a room. Rooms are basic, as expected, but clean and comfy. Showers hot with good water pressure. Breakfast average, and starts a little late to eat before pickup for some of the tours. Hosts not very friendly and made us feel like we had inconvienced them. Honestly, stay at Sunna, cheaper and much friendlier!

Great hotel for location. Only 5-10mins away from Hallgrimskirkja (Modern Cathedral) which is a great reference point. Only 10 mins walk into the central area of Reykjavik. 2 mins drive to one of the main highways (No. 49). I stayed in Room 7 located in the loft, which was very spacious, comfortable, clean and warm. I only required a single room and was given a room with 3 single beds, so worth noting for a small group. There was a sink in the room. The shared shower room was next door which again was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included in my deal which was a standard continental selection. Ideal for making up a cheeky little sarnie for when out and about. Most importantly, the two hosts were very polite, happy and welcoming. Overall, Ideal hotel for a short stay 😁.

I only stayed one night here while in the city. I was put in their secondary building, not in their main building. While the service was great, the building itself and the experience was rather average. I do not have any complaints though - the Staff was friendly, the rooms warm, and the showers hot. It's on the cheaper side, so if you set your expectations and are looking for a cost-effective stay in the heart of the city, then this guesthouse fits the bill.

Grosse arnaque! Nous avions payé une chambre triple et nous avons eu une chambre double. Quand nous avons signalé cela à l'établissement, aucune excuse de leur part, et on a été insulté. Ne vous laisser pas avoir par les bons commentaires comme nous l'avons été. Grosse déception, et surtout grosse arnaque! Zéro professionnalisme! En plus, ils dénigrent les personnes pauvres. Nous allons signaler cet hôtel à l'office de tourisme et écrire au gouvernement islandais, tellement ils ont été insultants. Big scam! We had paid for a triple room and got a double room. When we reported this to the establishment, no apology from them, and we were insulted. Don't be fooled by good reviews like we were. Big disappointment, and especially big rip-off! Zero professionalism! In addition, they denigrate poor people. We will report this hotel to the tourist office and write to the Icelandic government, they were so insulting.

Il bello di questa struttura è la posizione, vicino al centro da poter raggiungere a piedi e la facilità di parcheggio in zona. La stanza e la casa normali, camere molto ampie con bagni in comune, nel nostro piano ce n'erano 2. La pecca sono i servizi inesistenti, nella tariffa era inclusa la colazione ma la ragazza che doveva servircela non si è svegliata ed è arrivata solo dopo che uno degli ospiti ha telefonato al proprietario, noi non abbiamo fatto in tempo a farla visto che avevamo l'aereo di rientro

L'atout de ce guesthouse est sa localisation centrale sans être dans le centre touristique. De ce lieu on peut se déplacer partout à la marche. La centrale des bus BSI est à 8 minutes de marche. Le déjeuner est correct et pratique. L'endroit est propre et bien tenu. La procédure du check-in sans présence humaine est efficace.

La casa è vecchia e ha anche un suo fascino, ma avrebbe bisogno di più cura e manutenzione (la maniglia della porta d'ingresso rimaneva in mano). La pulizia direi inesistente, soprattutto nelle parti comuni (le briciole viste sul tavolo la sera prima erano perfettamente al loro posto la mattina dopo). Peccato perché la posizione è abbastanza buona: non troppo distante dal centro, in una zona dove si può parcheggiare gratis e facilmente. La nuova gestione deve darsi parecchio da fare a mio parere. Non ci tornerei.

la proprietaire francaise n est plus là, mais l accueil est toujours bien, et comme la situation dans une rue calme , a qq minutes a pied du centre ville est idéale, on y est retourné avec plaisir. Le petit dejeuner est toujours tres correct, avec une convivialité agréable.
