Hotels in der Nähe von Bolabankinn Kolaportinu, Reykjavík

Das Hotel Fron war für unseren Island-Roadtrip Start-und Endpunkt und man könnte es fast nicht besser treffen können. Die Zimmer waren groß und schön eingerichtet und auch das Frühstück, selbst zu Coronazeiten, war vielfältig und toll. Die Lage des Hotels könnte nicht besser sein, direkt in der Haupteinkaufstraße und trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen. Der Hafen und alle weiteren bekannten Spots sind schnelle fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Parkplatz ist leider sehr klein und eng und für Parkplätze um das Hotel herum muss man zahlen, das wird man jedoch nicht anders in Reykjavik finden. Die Parkpreise sind dafür jedoch für eine Stadt vertretbar. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen:)

Wir waren als 5köpfige Familie in einem Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmern, Und haben es sehr genossen. Der Luxus eines Hotels mit der Privatssphäre einer Ferienwohnung. Jeden Tag wird einem ein reichlicher Korb mit Frühstück nachgefüllt, morgens gibt es frisches Brot vor die Tür geliefert. Eine Kaffeemaschine mit verschiedensten Kapseln unterschiedlicher Heißgetränke fürs Frühstück ist auch vorhanden. Super organisiert. Das gesamte Apartment ist bestens ausgestattet, perfekt sauber, hat tolle Bäder und bequeme Betten. In der kleinen Küchenzeile kann man sich auch mal ein Abendessen zubereiten. Jeden Nachmittag kommt der Zimmerservice. Einzig negative Punkte: Es gibt keinen Parkplatz. Das Parken im öffentlichen Raum vor dem Apartment ist ziemlich teuer. Und: statt einer Plastikkarte zum Öffnen der Außentür und der Apartmenttür soll man sich eine App aufs Handy laden, und dann mithilfe eines Codes die Türen öffnen. Dies hat zuerst funktioniert, nach zwei Tagen dann nicht mehr (wahrscheinlich wegen WLAN-Problemen), weswegen nachts jemand von der Rezeption aus einem anderen Gebäude kommen musste, um uns Plastikkarten zu bringen. Etwas umständlich. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen, und würden bei einem weiteren Besuch in Island wieder hier buchen.

Ich nahm jetzt Verlobte auf Urlaub als besondere Behandlung .Beim check in waren wir glücklich genug, um von Tina zu begrüßen, der Hotelmanager, der uns auf ein großes Doppelzimmer mit einem Zimmer der Halgrims Kirche unglaubliche Aussicht auf die .Wir reservierten alle Ausflüge mit dem Das Hotel ist in der Nähe von Tina, deren Zimmer mit einem günstigen Wasserdruck ausgestattet ist. Das Frühstück hatte eine Menge Wahl und Ladung von Platz in der Hotel.cozy Cafe Bar ! Wir werden dank Tina und ihrer Familie, die dieses tolle Hotel besitzen und laufen, zurück sein.

Ein tolles Hotel. Die Lage in einer der beliebten Ausgehstraßen ist perfekt. Im Zimmer zum Hof ist davon nicht zu hören. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und bei jeder Frage eine große Hilfe. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr gut und mehr als ausreichend. Da das Hotel noch recht neu ist sind die Zimmer sehr neu und modern eingerichtet. Ich habe den Aufenthalt zu jeder minute genossen. Für mich ist das Hotel für den nächsten Besuch die erste Wahl.

Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

Mein Mann, die Tochter der Jugendlichen, und ich blieb in einem Zimmer im ersten Stock für zwei Nächte, und wir wünschen, dass wir nicht. Auf der positiven Seite war es sauber und zentral gelegen, wie angekündigt. Darüber hinaus war die Küche mit einem Kühlschrank schön. Es war jedoch wirklich schlimm, durch ein Restaurant zu gehen, um jeden Tag das Zimmer zu erreichen, und zunächst waren wir besorgt, dass wir nicht unsere Eintragscode rechtzeitig für unsere Eincheckung erhalten. Das ist überhaupt kein Hotel, sondern eine Art Airbnb-Äquivalent. Wir haben nie eine echte Person gesehen. Wir beschlossen, unsere letzte Nacht im Zimmer zu stornieren und ein Zimmer in einem anderen Hotel unter dem Block reserviert.

The hostel was clean and warm, the rooms were well laid out, with a safe for each person. It's such an odd looking building, but that's definitely part of the charm! The large kitchen/common area looks cool both from within and from the street looking up at it: the huge windows, and the warm coloured, up-lit walls make it so cosy! The hostel is spitting distance from Hallgrimskirkja, you can see it from the common room windows. This means you're in the heart of the city - great if you have no transport! It does mean you're in the heart of the tourist traps too... so any shop nearby (with the exception of Kronan stores) will be more expensive than those further afield. The staff leave you to do your own thing, the cleaners are all super friendly, the showers are always hot, and in decent condition. It really exceeded my expectations. I might have wished for an onsite bar or cafe for socializing, but everything is so expensive in Iceland that I was glad of the lack of temptation! And if you do need that sort of diversion, the B47 Hostel, which occupies the lower floors of the same building, has something like that. I'm sure it would have been okay to use it.

Dieses Hostel hat nur eine praktische und funktionale Lage. Der einzige Grund, hier zu bleiben ist für seine bequeme pickup und brechen Sie eine Haltestelle für Touren und den Flughafen. Das Zimmer war ein 4-Bett-Dorm und war stark. Gelegen gegenüber der Küche und oberhalb des Haupteingangs bedeutete es auch ziemlich laut. Die Bündel sind sehr, sehr grundlegende. Es gibt keine Ladepunkte an jedem Bett in diesem besonderen Schlafzimmer (3) und die Schranke ist eine dekorative Schießen. Die Reinigung hinterließ viel zu wünschen. Regelmäßig musste man die Rezeption für Handsap in der Toilette, Papierhandtücher und Toilettenpapier beantragen. Das Wi-Fi ist nicht vorhanden und das Rezeptionpersonal ist völlig ambivalent; sie sind angenehm, aber absolut kein Wunsch, zu helfen. Es ist eine plausible Verweigerung zu bedenken. Sie bleiben hier nur für die Lage, die Ihnen den Zugang zu allem ermöglicht, was Island bietet.

Die geografische Lage ist wirklich sehr schlecht, natürlich kann man auch mit dem Bus fahren, aber der Bus ist sehr teuer in Ray City, aber das ist wirklich der einzige Nachteil, der Servicepersonal ist sehr gut, das Zimmer ist etwas klein, aber sehr sauber,

The hotel staffs were very welcoming and hospitality. We feel really good when we arrived at the hotel and even during departure. Breakfast spread was small but great. We had a warm and nice breakkie. The room is very cosy. The bed was very soft and springy! The blanket was just nice, very warm and comfortable. How we wish we could bring home. Haha. The price was also worthwhile. ✌🏻
