Agriturismo Cavazzone

I stayed solo for one night in June on a 10 property Italian road trip, so this review is relatively objective. Easily found in a rural setting with plenty of parking. Reception was via the restaurant - the gentleman on duty did what he had to do without much enthusiasm, which sadly was the case with every staff member I encountered - hence the 4 star rather than 5 star review. Nothing to do with the language barrier as I noted this attitude with other guests/diners. Lovely and sympathetically restored building, which is still a working property - unfortunately I arrived too late for the ‘Balsamic tour’. This product is absolutely delicious and better than any tasted in the UK. Bedroom was pleasantly renovated without any ‘new’ feel. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good quality bed linen and towels. Good bathroom. Despite high daytime temperatures I didn’t need to use the air conditioning due to the thick walls and shutters. Windows are insect screened. Dinner, taken on the terrace with lovely rural views was really excellent - apart from as mentioned above, a lack of enthusiasm/engagement from both the Maitre’D and waitress. Breakfast was rather underwhelming when compared to the dinner standard - a decent Italian buffet style, but with cheap pre packaged cheese and jam etc. Good coffee. Excellent value throughout.

Niente da fare. Come gli anni passati si salva il posto perché c’è un bel freschino ma il resto lascia a desiderare. La tagliata era dura, il filetto all’aceto balsamico pure. Servita l’anguria calda. Un contorno richiesto non è arrivato … peccato

De omgeving is mooi. Het appartement pleas prima en de ligging super. Jammer dat het personeel kortaf, stil, weinig spraakzaam, weinig flexibel etc was. Eigenlijk maakt dat het de reden om 3 sterren te geven. Het lijkt of er bezuinigd is op personneelskosten door deze uit oost Europa te halen. Bijna niemand sprak er Engels of welke andere west Europese taal dan ook
