Ona Dorada, El Tarter, Andorra. Having come back and discussed my "Christmas/New Year Skiing Holiday" to Ona Dorada, El Tarter, Andorra, I have realised I need to tell you how bad it was and it needs removing or reassessing from the RCI booking service. After 16 hours of travel including a four hour basic coach wagon trip from Barcelona airport I arrived at the town of the Ona Dorada Resort. From the main road to the resort there were no signs to tell you where it is at all, if my daughter had not used Google Maps we would never have found it in the poorly lit streets. Even when we did find the resort the signage is tucked away, very small and totally unlit so trying to find it at 6:30pm was like a mystery tour which neither of us needed. We then dragged our heavy suitcases up several very steep staircases (i'm talking very steep and slippery) but couldn't find the reception as the sign once again was unlit and almost impossible to see at night time. The lady in reception was very vague and told us due to staff issues we couldn't check in until after 7pm (official check in was 4pm) and suggested we went to a hotel down the road. We had no other welcome or advice from her, no local map, no advice where to get to the ski lifts nothing, her customer service skills were dreadful despite the language barrier, It felt like she was doing me a favour by staying there, at great expense to me. THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR DISABLED OR EVEN ELDERLY AS IT IS SO STEEP! The unit was very small said sleep four but cramped for two of us, there was only one set of windows at the front so it was like living in a cave as there were no other windows/natural light at all so you had to have artificial lights on all the time. The kitchen was totally inadequate for self catering with just a small microwave and two heated rings, with a lack of proper utensils to cook. The accommodation looked very dated and had marks and bits missing, the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in and my daughter made the same remarks so we had no decent sleep for 6 nights, I ended up sleeping on the couch in the lounge area to get any sleep. Then the worst issue of all was the ultra thin walls and waste water pipe from upstairs so everyday at 5:30 the people upstairs flushed their toilet and ran a shower and I cold hear this waking me at 5:30 every single day of my Christmas holiday. There was no service during the whole week so the bins ran over the top and the bedding/towels were not changed. The resort was up a really really steep back road that lead to nowhere and the village had just a couple of shops to buy food or eat in so to get any food you had to walk over a mile up a hill with a heavy bags of shopping and skis. The receptionist didn't even offer us any lockers for our ski equipment or advice on where we could hire them, I think she wasn't that bothered about us in the least. But one of the main issues I wanted to raise, as professional, was there was no fire card/ins
