Maitai Rangiroa

We stayed in the Lagoon side Bungalow's All 5 couples had the same accommodations. Rooms were clean and well laid out. We had a minor issue with ants that was taken care of quickly, just don't keep food in your bungalow. Also if you leave your sliding door open you may have an unexpected guest gecko running around too. Grounds were clean and well taken care of. We had half board meal plans, and that worked well. There is a bar on the premises, but we took full advantage of the market next door(walking distance) for additional beverages and snacks for Happy Hour on out patio for the group. This resort has a pool, and great snorkeling right off the dock. Restaurant was very good to us and had a good variety of choices for breakfast. They always had a table for us set up for both Breakfast and Dinner. The dinner menu was really good, with many different choices. FP can't cook a steak to save themselves, but that is not what you want here. The Lamb Shank was awesome, as was many of the other choices. They of course had a number of fish plates, the Tuna was prepared well and melt in your mouth. Duck, pork, and a couple different pasta meals were also on the menu. The resort had a few bicycles that you could use to tour the island. The island is small, so biking around can get you most places. Transportation is available for the Black Pearl Farm, and a couple other excursions. We walked to the neighboring resort for their Polynesian Dancers event one night, nice time, fun to watch. Overall, a good stay while in Rangiroa

All the accommodations consist of similar-sized bungalows. They are clean, equipped with air conditioning, and feature large hot showers. While there are a few ladies at the front desk, if you encounter any issues (as we did—when we first arrived, we had to change our bungalow due to a broken A/C), make sure to ask for Loana. She is outstanding—competent, attentive, and always on top of things. She truly gets results! Unfortunately, the other staff members were not as helpful. The grounds at Le Maitai could use a bit more attention, but the bar and pool area are very nice. The included breakfast was average, and lunch was similarly mediocre. A heads-up: there is no "free" airport pickup, as we were charged $22 for a round-trip ride, even though the airport is only about a mile away.

Small, charming, lovely. and accessible. Small hotel with bungalows around a garden. Lovely dining area with a view of the ocean and lovely sunsets every night. I am a wheelchair user - there were concrete pathways throughout the garden, to the bungalow, to the restaurant. Incredibly courteous and warm staff. The atoll is quiet, so come to relax and enjoy the views and lagoon excursions.

This tiny little resort is very basic at best. Air conditioning worked at half power despite the staff trying to fix it. Phone did not work at all to call front desk or out. Internet was nonexistent even when you got close to the main signal. No beach, stairs to the water but very rocky or a metal ladder of the pier. Everyone leaves by 8:15 am for a tour otherwise there is nothing to do. From all the islands we visited (5) this was the most basic of food despite a good looking menu. Lamb was tough, muscles were chewy….only nice part was the staff.

This resort isn’t for anyone please do your own research because I didn’t do it and it cost me losing time and money the bungalow isn’t what they said in their site the condition isn’t good you will have mosquitoes inside the bungalow during the day and the night because the front door big gaps allows the mosquitoes to get inside the bungalow during during the day and night.The room has A/C but isn’t cooling the room so I have to ask for fan to help cool the room.when I emailed the resort about if we can Snorkel at the bungalow they said yes so we was happy about that but when we got here I found out there is no way anyone can snorkel here but you can hire someone to take you snorkel somewhere else.
