This is a few months old review.Me and my wife visited Udaipur for a short trip in July this year.I am a Club ITC platinum member. We were staying at the Oberoi Udaivilas. We heard of this ITC property being newly opened and wanted to visit for some snacks and see the property once.We hired a car from our hotel and went to visit this property. We were warned in advance that this property was located far off from Udaipur main city, many kilometres away and the roads were also not that great. We understand it might be a bit in the outskirts but didn't pay any heed to it. The horror started as we came halfway across. It is almost 30 kms away from the main city of Udaipur. As we continued, the roads started to become narrow, and the road condition was also very bad,not suitable for any car,let alone the luxury car that we had brought. We passed from the inside of a village,we could see villagers standing and observing our car, from there a security from ITC was also standing in the road side who directed us the way.It took several kilometres more to reach the main property located on a hill top.The road condition was tremendously bad, narrow and very much unsuitable for a comfortable ride. The property is located in a deserted location, away from any habitation,no shops or taxi stand or any market within 10 kms from it.As we entered in the lobby,I went and enquired about the duty manager.he came,I gave him my identity and said we wanted to dine in and also wanted to explore the area a bit,to which he said the property is busy in a wedding and they can't show us anything nor we can dine as the entire hotel was booked.I pleaded with him to accomodate us if possible as we paid hefty car prices and came a long way and it would be a shame to go back now.But he didn't budge.Sadly we had to return without seeing nothing. But I observed a couple of things which I want to highlight in this review. 1)No Cell Signals-As we reached the property,we all lost connectivity. My wife was using Airtel,me a jio and none of us had any network. As the property is so much away from the human civilization and main city, there is fewer cell towers and connectivity is very poor. 2)Staffs have attitude and are very rude-You go to such offbeat area after paying heavy price to enjoy. The last thing you want is bad behaviour and service. The duty manager was very rude to us and was showing attitude and refusing to listen to anything. He just left us in the lobby on our own. Also when we were waiting we saw couple of guests checking in.Few ladies were standing to greet the guests. They had flower petals in their hands to throw to the guest as a welcome. They were throwing it to some guests,Then they were stopping for some, and this continued. They greeted and welcomed people according to their will and wish. 3)Over expensive-5 stars in Udaipur are expensive. It is.But when you open a property in such a remote area you cannot charge the same prices or even higher than what lake palace or Udaivilas c
