Palazzo Degli Antoci

If I could put more stars, I would. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. Our stay was comfortable, relaxing and Giovanni and Raffaella were perfect hosts and amazingly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from booking restaurants and recommending places to go to helping us with a hire car. The Palazzo was beautifully furnished and cool in the heat of the day, quiet and with a balcony view over the town a fine place to relax in the evening. It was very conveniently placed in the older part of the main town, with many local sights in easy walking distance. All of the rooms would be to an equally high standard, but we stayed in the King Room, which was bright and comfortable, with a spacious, well-appointed and clean bathroom down a short corridor - the best type of en-suite. The Palazzo has an impressive history and Raffaellla was rightly proud of her heritage, and we enjoyed hearing about it, and all the local information she spoke about. The breakfasts we were provided with were enormous and full of local cheeses and meats; not only that but Raffaella's delicious home baking, a new treat every day. There were plenty of local restaurants nearby and we enjoyed two great evening meals during our stay. Ragusa Ibla is only a short walk away, but be warned, the twenty-thirty minutes it takes is down hundreds of steps and then up some more steps or steep roads. It's well worth it, as there are numerous spectacular views and you will pass lots of interesting buildings. But failing that, the local shuttle bus or a taxi can take some of the effort out of the trip. I would not hesitate to stay here again. To travel in this part of Sicily the bus service was reliable, on-time and tickets easy to buy on-line and download on your mobile to show to the driver. If you hire a car, a good sat-nav is worth taking as many Ragusa town roads are very narrow (indeed!) and so one-way only... getting to and from your preferred location may require some circular trips.

Amazing B & B. The hotel which was a palace dating back to the 1700's. It was incredible expeirence in many ways. The family that owned the property from it inception still lives there and operates it as a hotel. The Baroness, is a charming and hospitable host. She treats you like a house guest..nothing is top much. The staff there is limited but very helpful and engaging. Beautiful spacious rooms full of original furniture. The hotel is like a museum.

Gorgeous lovingly restored 300 year old Palazzo with huge comfortable rooms on a quiet charming street. Terrific hosts Raffaella and Giovanni went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Delicious breakfasts and great location. Raffaella gave us excellent advice on what to see and how to get there, and steered us to some great trattorias. A truly lovely experience.

Beautiful accommodations and gracious hosts. Francesca and her parents shared their family history from WW2 back to unification. What a treat! The spacious palazzo rooms have been rececenty renovated and are full of exquisite furniture and decor. Breakfast and dinner were feasts. Ragusa is fascinating.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful and historic Palazzo, and found it utterly charming. The Antoci and Pinzero family were wonderful hosts and laid on the most lovely breakfasts we have ever had in Italy (or anywhere, for that matter!). The building has been lovingly and authentically restored and the huge rooms are simply stunning. Glorious high ceilings with ornate plasterwork, original Art Deco furnishings and ornaments, magnificent carpets … the whole place is sumptuous. Very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms too. Great location in the higher town and walking distance to the lower town with all its wonderful rococo architecture. The family will also arrange local winery visits, bike hire and other interesting local trips. All this and more for well under €200 a night for a three-room suite makes it incredible value. We will return!
