Regina Blu

Our stay here was a perfect balance of luxury and wholesomeness. We used the hotel taxi to and from the hotel, everything was easy and taken care of. The view from the pool was exceptional and the sunset was beautiful. The staff were attentive and caring, especially the young lady who was on reception when we checked out, the man who drove us to Sarande and the young man at the beach bar (so sorry we didn’t ask your names) you made us feel so comfortable. The interior of the hotel was clean, calm and there were fun details in the decor which I loved finding. The beds were comfortable and the rooms made up every day. The food absolutely exceeded our expectations, my partner had meats and I enjoyed pescatarian and vegetarian options. Although there aren’t as many sun beds at the pool, we booked the hotel as we enjoy the beach. The beach bar is convenient and well run, the beds were plenty and comfortable and the sea easily assessable. We already hope we can stay with you again soon, you’ve made our first trip to Albania very relaxing and a holiday to cherish!

We had the time of our life at this wonderful Hotel. The staff is friendly, the food great and the view stunning. We especially want to thank Klajdi and Bjondi at the poolbar for their warm and welcoming service, always meeting us with a smile. Klajdi really knows how to make cocktails. As we say in Albania, e ka qarë! Elsi at the restaurant for making us with 4 kids welcome in the restaurant and making a big effort everyday to get to know our kids. Our 10 months old daughter simply loved her, and every meal we went there, we were hoping she was working that shift. Last but not least Kristi at the beachbar, who gave his best to make us feel welcome. We and our 4 kids had a great week.

This is not a 5 star hotel, 3 star plus at best. The pool is small and overlooks the ocean, which is a great view, however there are only a few chairs and beds which people put there belongings on in the morning and disappear for hours, the pool was full of kids so not a relaxing environment. The beach are has so much to offer and the structures need attention, litter along the beach, which unfortunately is a common problem in Albania. The food for afternoon snacks is poor, however we were very pleasantly surprised by the lunch and dinner offerings. The all inclusive package is poor, the white wine is not drinkable unless you buy separately and then you are overcharged. We asked yo cancel our 2nd night stay and were told no cancellations/refunds were allowed. We stayed the day and left after one night. The rooms were very poor and well below expected standards of what is advertised as a 5 star hotel. A real shame as it could be so much better with stunning views.

We booked 4 rooms for 4 couples, we arrived at 8 am, presented the reservations, and they told us that we can check in at 1 pm, not a problem till now. We paied for the breakfeast(we had all inclusiv after we would check in) and then waited in the lounge for another 5 hours…after 5h they came to us and told us that we are not going to stay there and we are going to stay to : Oricon Coast ( in building process ) that its lower on price, lower on “all inclusive” , hot water with portion, building view and sounds every morning, rude staff (as the same At the regina blue, i think the owner its the same), mold smell, the rooms wrenet so clean , and so so more… we paied for something else , at regina blue volre , but they relocated us to a not 5 star resort! And later on first day(wich is today) we found out that others happend the same! Avoid that place, im sure you can find better place than that *bleachs* place that just try to scam ppl and overbook.. The fist 2 pics are when we arrived at regina blue, and the second ones where they relocated us… not worthing the price, read the reviews of oricon coast too, to see how *bleachs* they are!

We've been into several 5 star hotels and this is not one of those whatsoever. -Small pool, closes at 6pm, too early, just 10 hammocks for the whole hotel, never available. No diving allowed, but all kids and even some adults too were splashing all the time while we were relaxing on a chair. It happened so many times that we argued with more than one family, and the staff did nothing at all. -Food was tasteless. Everyday the same things, dessert were just pastry and food, nothing else, pizza and pasta everyday... juices were bottled... small and poor variety. Meat and fish tasteless. -Staff: few of them knew English and none knew Spanish. The looked down at you when they know you are a foreigner and they take advantage of your not understanding Albanian language. -Rooms: they are just OK, typical of a 3 star hotel, not a 5 star one, by far. -All inclusive does not include bottled water. Ice creams can not be served by oneself and so have yo wait long to get a small one. -Beach bar closes at 7pm and you can not get anything after that. Even at night you can sit down in the chill out but not order anything. Why is it then? -Restaurant: waiters don't know English, imposible to make any request or ask for help. They take forever to clean the tables even after telling them there is no clean table available. All in all. Try and get another place to stay. You can take good pictures of the pool, but that is all you can do. The rest?? Unbelievably terrifying. Escape. Skip. Next.
