Ich habe Hailuoto mit meinem Mann und unseren 2 Chartreux Katzen zum ersten Mal besucht und im Hotel Arctic Lighthouse geblieben. Als die Rezeption um 9 Uhr schließt, wurden wir nach 8 Uhr vom Hotel angerufen, um zu fragen, ob wir vor 9 Uhr da wären oder ob sie arrangieren müssen, wie wir den Schlüssel erhalten. Wir waren bereits auf der Insel und fahren zum Hotel und konnten bei 8.30 ankommen. Die schriftlichen Informationen, die ich erhalten hatte, sagten nicht wirklich, dass die Küche um 8 Uhr geschlossen würde - so kamen wir hungrig nach 3 Stunden’ Fahrt, um darüber herauszufinden. Glücklicherweise erzählten sie uns von Kahvila Loma, die noch offen war - wir mussten nur etwa 9 km zurückfahren. Dieser Kaffee /bar erwies sich als sehr positive Erfahrung, auch wenn wir zuerst unsere Zweifel hatten. Die frisch gemachten Burger und Französisch frische frische Frucht waren lecker. Wir kamen in der Mitte eines Pub Quizz, aber niemand war gestört oder irritiert. Unser Hotelzimmer war das Standardzimmer, das Haustiere erlaubte. Es war einfach, aber groß genug. Das Badezimmer war sehr geräumig. Zwei Dinge möchte ich Ihnen vorschlagen, zu ändern : Bitte schreiben Sie deutlich, dass es nur eine Seife, aber kein Shampoo und Dusche geboten von dem Hotel, so dass Ihre Hotelgäste wissen, wenn sie für die Reise packen! Glücklicherweise bring ich immer mein eigenes Shampoo und Klimaanlage mit mir. Ich würde auch vorschlagen, eine elektrische Kessel und Tabak in. Zimmer so spät ankommende Gäste könnten etwas warmes zu trinken haben, wenn die Küche bereits geschlossen ist. (Smart Gäste im Voraus erfahren, dass sie besser etwas zu essen mit ihnen bringen, wenn sie spät kommen.) Die Atmosphäre war freundlich und der Service war gut. Frühstück war nicht sensationell, aber immer noch gut genug. Ein großer Plus ist, dass Sie Ihr Auto kostenlos bezahlen können! Das war eine angenehme Überraschung für ein plug-in hybrid Eigentümer wie wir , aber es muss noch größerer Plus für einen elektrischen Auto-Eigentümer sein. Wir mögen das Hotel und planen, mit Freunden (die es nicht in diesem Wochenende tun konnten) im Winter oder im Sommer zurückzugehen. Das war das einzige Wochenende im September-Oktober, dass wir von Freitag bis Sonntag ein Zimmer haben können: es zeigt nur, dass dieses Hotel in beliebter. Das Wetter war im September - etwas regnerisch und windig, aber es hinderte uns nicht daran, aus der Umgebung und dem 150-jährigen Lichthaus zu gehen ( 110 Schritte auf den oberen Stock!).

Hailuoto town center services are only 2 km away. Marjaniemi sandy beaches, fishing harbor, and restaurants are 8 km away. Kaisala is a convenient holiday home in the diverse national landscape of Hailuoto.
The house has a living room/kitchen, one bedroom with 2 beds and other bedroom with 1 bed. In the living area, there are two spreadable sofas, with widths of 160 cm and 110 cm when opened. Sauna and shower room/WC. No TV.
A small terrace at the back of the house and a campfire site.
Pets are allowed, but only in the entrance area of the house. There is a pet gate between the entrance and the living area. Bringing pets into the living area is prohibited. Illuminated jogging track and ski trail, as well as Frisbee golf, are 800 m away.
Hailuoto is the largest island in the Bothnian Bay, with an area of 200 km2. It is located about 7 km off the coast from Oulu.
During the summer, there are free ferries to Hailuoto every half hour. The ferry journey takes about half an hour. During the winter, the ferry operates less frequently.
A significant part of the island belongs to the Natura 2000 program. Key values include the diversity of bird species and habitats, valuable traditional landscapes, endangered and protected plant species under the Habitats Directive, diverse landforms, birdwatching, and other recreational activities, hunting, and fishing (www.luontoon.fi).

30 km to the west from Oulu, on Hailuoto island, 280 m distance to the sea, no own beach, sea beach and yard area are in natural state, shallow sand bottom, no boat. Low-traffic cabin road between the house and the beach.
Wooden house, built in 2008. Living room / kitchen with sofa bed, bedroom with 120 cm wide bed, second bedroom with 1 bed and third bedroom (children's room) with 1 bed, sauna and washroom/WC.
Capacity of the water boiler is only about 50 liters. Please limit the usage of the hot water so that it is enough for everyone.
Hailuoto island is the largest island in the Gulf of Bothnia, with an area of 200 square kilometers. It is located in front of Oulu, about 7 km from the mainland. During the summer, there is a ferry connection to Hailuoto operating every 30 minutes, usage of the ferry connection is free of charge. The ferry ride takes about half an hour. During the winter, the ferry operates less frequently.
