We wanted to stay close to the airport, a short drive to town, with easy access to the highway towards Te Anau/Milford Sound. This hotel ticked all the boxes. At first arrival, we entered the parking lot and noticed how tight and small the parking spots were. After an elevator ride up to the lobby, we met with staff who were very professional and kind. We went to our room which was nice and updated, had a great view, and a spacious floor plan. We did have an issue with the sink, where it was clogged when we got to the room. While we went to visit Queenstown, a staff member unclogged the sink but didn’t clean it so when we arrived back, the residue from the clogging was still in the sink. A disappointment, and ironically a perk, was the small balcony. Most of the small balcony was used up by an air conditioner. The positive is you had a nice view of the mountains and Queenstown. The bed was large and comfortable. The couch, living area, and kitchen were really nice. We really enjoyed the shower and took advantage of the hot water while we had it. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The DoubleTree cookies are always a plus too.

Ganz nahe dem Stadtzentrum, in der Nähe zu Fuß mit kostenfreiem Parkplatz. Zurück im 23. Dezember gab es eine Menge Straßenbau, so dass die Erfahrung besser sein könnte. Aber das Hotelpersonal war freundlich und extrem hilfreich. Das Bett war komfortabel und hatte einen Balkon (Grundspiegel) zum Abendessen mit schöner Skyline.

Ich blieb in einem King Mountain View Zimmer, und während das Zimmer fühlte sich klein, war es für die Tatsache, dass es neu, modern, gut konzipiert und komfortabel war. Der offene Plan-Eingang und Lobbybereich fühlte sich willkommen. Das im Zimmerpreis enthaltene Frühstücksbuffet war wesentlich und super bequem, um vor dem Aufstieg auf den Berg jeden Morgen früh zu fahren. Und glückliche Stunde in der Lobby in den Abenden 5-7pm. Es ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Stadtbeginn und 9 Minuten zu Fuß zum NZ Skibus. Auf der Rückfahrt zum Hotel gibt es einen Block von Steep Hill zu Fuß, aber es ist nur eine zweiminütige Sektion. Obwohl es nur einen kurzen Spaziergang in die Stadt war, nach einem ganzen Tag auf dem Schnee, reisen zurück und vierte zum Berg, war es schwer, die Energie zu bekommen, um in die Stadt zu Abend zu gehen, zu kalt und müde. Ich habe den Bus vom Flughafen zum Hotel gefangen, das super einfach und eine schnelle 20-minütige Fahrt war. Der Flughafenbushalte ist direkt außerhalb des Terminals. Ich habe eine Bee-Karte auf dem Bus für $5 gekauft und die Reise war nur $1 für Erwachsene und 0.75c für Kinder. Der Bus stand direkt auf Blue Peaks über die Straße vom Hotel. Und die Rückfahrt zum Flughafen war genauso einfach. Insgesamt ein großer Aufenthalt, mit neuen modernen Einrichtungen, eine ziemlich zentrale Lage und freundliches Personal.

Die oben stehende Seite: Lage ist sehr nützlich für die Stadt. Das Bett war komfortabel. Rezeption Mitarbeiter sehr effizient und angenehm. Die unten stehenden Seiten: Ein sehr datierter und unpersönlicher Blechhalle, um ins Zimmer zu kommen. Threadbare Teppich. In unserem Zimmer sehr dünn und in Bereichen gebraten. Bad sehr datiert - Holz-Trim umgeben zwischen Bad und Wand. Kippte Badtür und rustig/kippte Bad und Tauch. Wärmebehandlung mit temperamentalen Schlauch/Temperatur-Bewertung. Das Spülen von gegossenem Wasser aus dem ”Dusche” wie ein großer Schlauch/Wasserhydrant statt eine Dusche. Sehr unbehaglich und fühlte sich ziemlich gefährlich. Das Bad-Sänk war sehr niedrig und ich bin nur über 5ft hoch und musste überlegen. Das Toilette war nicht sehr gut geflossen. Ich wollte eine Tasse Tee machen, bevor wir verließen, aber die Milchkarton im Kühlschrank war halb voll und war offen geschnitzt und verwendet worden. Deshalb habe ich kein Getränk gemacht! Ich habe den Generalmanager am Grundstück gepostet, aber keine Antwort. Ich empfehle das nicht als Aufenthaltsort. Ich habe mehrere Male im Scenic Suites Teil dieses Grundstücks ohne jede Hitze verblieben. Ich habe seit über zehn Jahren in der Nähe gelebt, aber ich würde nicht wieder hier bleiben. Dies war eine Behandlung für meine Tochter und ich und ich fühle mich sehr enttäuscht, da das Geld, das im Zimmer verbrachte, die Qualität und den Wert nicht beeinflussen. Sehr preiswert für das, was angeboten wird.

Staff were friendly and accommodating as we arrived to Queenstown late due to plane landing delays that evening. We booked the twin bunk room and surprised at how big the ensuite toilet was - it could have been another room! Standard hotel amenities but we're especially delighted by the hot beverage vending machines as it provided us with a convenient pick-me up coffee whenever we needed it (travelling takes a toll on your body, for sure!). Social and dining spaces were plenty and the view at the rooftop that overlooked Queenstown was beautiful. Overall, a good stay but wished the app was less buggy and doesn't log guests out when we're offsite too long.

The location was the best part for us. It was very central in Queenstown and surrounded with many good restaurants, bars and shops. If you are planning on skiing or doing an excursion there are many pick up spots and tour operators near the hostel as well. The room was a good spot to sleep. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and they provided a nice small space heater to keep the room warm if needed. We didn't have any body wash on our first night in the shower, we reported to the front desk and they gave us a couple of bars and we were told that they would replace in the morning but when we came back it was unfortunately not replaced but we did get another small bar of soap. The remote in the room was disgusting and covered in what I imagine was at one point part of some good fried chicken or possibly pizza but everything else seemed to be fine. Check in was a little tricky because there is self check in/check out tablets at the entrance. We couldn't figure out the right combination of booking reference number and name because we had received Jucy's confirmation code in a separate email. The attendant did offer to help us out but we got the right combo at that very moment. You can pick your cards to activate them and we had no issues with this part but later that evening my card deactivated and I went to the front desk a second time to get it working on our first night. The hotel has some very good signage and arrows to tell you where your rooms are and the amenities (rooftop bar/restaurant, laundry room and kitchen area). The hotel seems to be more of a party hotel and when we arrived there was lots of drinking and people having a good time. This went well into the night and the noise seemed to travel well down the hallway from the rooms that were hosting. We could also hear our neighbour coming and going throughout the first night but it was relatively quiet between 12-6. We picked this hostel for the location and to save a little bit of money for excursions. It did get very busy in our area the first night we were there but after that we had no issues with the traffic. It was a 15 minute ride to the airport in the Uber and the bus stops at the nearby Stanley St bus hub and only takes about 25 minutes to go to/from the airport with limited traffic.

Ich kann nicht glauben, wie gut dieser Ort war! ... Wir haben für 6 von uns ein privates 8-Bett-Dorm bekommen, das Zimmer selbst war etwas heiß, aber das Personal brachte uns schnell einen Fan, der massiv half. Die Toiletten und Duschen waren so gut gepflegt und der Lounge, Waschmaschine und Trocknungsräume machten den gesamten Prozess so einfach. Küche ist absolut riesig und perfekt, wenn Sie planen, dort zu essen. Aber das Personal war etwas anderes, unglaublich freundlich und eine Dame hat mir sogar 50c aus ihrer eigenen Tasche für die Lockers geleistet, hat es nicht getan, aber wollte mir helfen! ... Ein absolutes Gemt! Ich werde definitiv hier in Zukunft wieder bleiben.

Ausgezeichneter Ort zum Aufenthalt, komfortable Bett gute Kuchen, saubere, frische Unterkünfte. Lass ein wenig durch die Dusche, kleine und kompakte, WasserTemperatur fluktuiert. Kalter Morgen gute Wärmepumpe, begrenzte Parkplätze, gute Wanderung in die Stadt. Sehr ruhige Lage.

Großes Autohotel, der Hotelgarten ist ein großer Park. Es gibt einen großen Gras und einen Ballplatz. Sehr ruhig. Es gibt eine separate Region, das Zimmer ist nicht groß, kann man 2-3 Menschen leben, es gibt eine öffentliche Küche, sehr groß, es gibt kein Problem mit der Kochen. Spezial-öffentliches Badezimmer und Badezimmer, es gibt auch Gäste im Geschäft, die eine Minute von dem Zimmer gehen. Es gibt einen 5-minütigen Spaziergang. Es gibt einen 10-minütigen Spaziergang vom Zentrum der Stadt, weniger als 20 Kilometer von der Königin Stadt, 20 Minuten Fahren. Der Preis für die gleiche Wohneinheit in der Königin Stadt ist halb so billig.

We keep returning to Shades of Arrowtown because it is just perfect for our needs. The cottage ( no. 10) was spacious, comfy couch, a place to hang clothes, a comfy king sized bed and the ensuite had a spa bath. 2 days after it snowed, we sat outside on the deck to enjoy the spring sunshine and then moved into the shade when it got too warm. Shades of Arrowtown is so well positioned, it makes walking to all the cafes and restaurants so easy. Brenda is an absolute sweetie. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Brenda
