Got upgraded to a suite only to find it reeked of cigarette smoke. Went to the Buffett restaurant in the hotel only to be told that a group had taken most of the areas and other guests had to be contended with limited dishes. That was rather disappointing. Went out of the hotel but there was a supermarket and a bakery that’s operating. The bun shop was sold out and there was barely other stuff for dinner.
Next day got the gym and need to use the toilet until I see filthy stuff on the toilet seat and around the toilet. I did not expect this from a Hilton chain!

The hotel's facilities and service are good though the hotel is located in the outskirt of Qingdao city centre. During my stay there were many Korean tourist groups happen to stay in this hotel too.

We had to visit some factories in Jimo, and we stayed for a night at Double tree. Location is not far from Baolong plaza and it’s close to Jimo North Station.
Amenities were great, the hotel provided Crabtree n Evelyn.

The room was adequate size but we were very disappointed that there was no information in the room about the hotel itself, the services it provided nor about the area round about and no maps . As non Chinese tourists we were completely lost and having nothing to refer made the experience very difficult.
A 500RMB security deposit was taken from my card on arrival and we were told anything we spent would be deducted from this and the remainder refunded. But breakfast 180RMB was taken directly from my card account. When we had to leave early some of the remainder for the extra nights was refunded but my 500RMB has not been refunded and I have had no success contacting the hotel. I would like my money refunded as I have already paid for breakfast !!!
I must say an outstanding staff member at the hotel is Rafa. He listens, advises , helps and went out of his way and gave us the best and kindest assistance. He was wonderful, an outstanding representative for DoubleTree Hilton!!!!
