Very quiet resort indeed - probably because there were no facilities as advertised such as restaurant or bar - this was closed up and being used for storage. Heard a lot of people complaining about this as the travel companies still advertising this. It was sufficient as a base but had very little atmosphere. The ”budget” apartment was adequate - nothing special - small and not particularly clean with hardly any storage space like drawers in bedrooms, and things needed replacing and a good spruce up. No cereal bowels, bread knife, chopping board, etc and only a few coat hangers however more were provided when we asked at Reception. For a self catering option, the kitchen was tiny and so little space. No working safe. Bathroom had no extractor fan and had consequently had paint peeling. Cleaning of the apartment felt totally insufficient - cobwebs when we arrived and just felt a bit grubby, marks on walls and furnishings. Towels changed every 4 or 5 days, something like that - and for 2 weeks stay bedding changed only once. Could have done with a really good deep clean and not just a tickle, no one wants to see hairs in the bathroom! Late check out wasn't possible so we had to vacate the room at 10am but there was luggage storage room in Reception. Some days the Reception closed at 5 or 6pm, so if you did have a late flight you were stranded with your cases and no-where to go...... Finally we were charged around 65 euros (for 2 wks) as some local tax - wasn't made aware of this in advance which was annoying more than anything else as we don't like hidden costs. On the plus side, the pools were virtually empty so no need to fight for a sunbed. There is a well stocked shop just opposite where you could get cold drinks and take away sandwiches. Bus stop just outside for Mahon. Beach about 5-10 min walk.

I booked a half term trip with my daughter with the only requirements being good food, pool and near a beach. The Comitas Isla Del Aire met these and exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were warmly greeted, the apartments explained and after dropping the cases off we were in the pool. Chilly but clean and fun. We opted for Bed & Breakfast with the food each morning being a good range and always found plenty of hot and cold to eat no matter the time of arrival. The location is excellent with maybe a 200m walk to the beach, with great transport links to the nearby splash park, a tourist train to Binibeca and a regular bus to Mahon for more adventures. While we were there there was a storm which uprooted some seagrass and deposited on the beach, but it was soft to walk on and didn't impact any beach play. There wasn't a single day we didn't end up on a beach which was what we both needed. Local restaurants are friendly serving plenty of variety on offer.
