OYO 554 Dad’s Bayview Pension

The room is simple and the floor is very clean but I do not recommend you to leave food as there are many ants. (there is no fridge provided in the room) You can expect the followings in your room; AC (no remote) wardrobe (lots of hangers) towel/linen TV Wi-fi shower toilet amenity - small sop only There is no electric kettle / complimentary coffee/pet bottle of water in your room but you can always have drinking water and hot water as there is a water dispenser on the corridor each floor. You can use glasses and spoons from there.  There is no window in the corridor.  If you don't like mosquitoes, don't leave the door of your room. There is no elevator. The view from the room isn't the best but I enjoyed it. The patio is big enough. There is rope for your laundry. How nice. I hang a towel and bathing suit everyday ! The bathroom looks very old, honestly. The first time I flushed the toilet, the water was really brown but after that everything was ok. I had a hot water shower.  The front desk should be 24 hours as someone lives behind the reception. There is no kitchen that you can use. Not sure if they can keep your food if you accidentally buy food.  The location isn't excellent. It is located at the edge of the downtown. If you walk to the really central part of city center, it would take 25-30 minutes but it is really close the main street. I took a van from OYO to get to San Jose Terminal (300 pesos) as I need to take Cherry Bus to get to El Nido. It took about 20 minutes. The manager of OYO drove. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. I had lots of communication with the manager here and he is very helpful.  The Room is not fancy at all but simple. If you want to stay better places, OYO isn't for you but considering the rate, it is quite ok. I won't complain about  it.
