Tupa Lodge

We booked this based on the photos and that it was a bit out of town with a gorgeous outlook. After three flights we arrived early afternoon. Unfortunately there was no kitchen until dinner at 7pm and the young man in reception was incredibly kind and took one of us in his motorbike to buy lunch which was quite a drive away. The good things are that the rooms are large, the outlook is beautiful and the young reception staff incredibly helpful and kind. Why I wouldn’t book this. The infinity pool is not like the pictures. The water level was really low and it was dirty when we arrived. Over the next three days it was cleaned and the level raised but still not as the pictures. The room was dirty with hair in the shower. Lots of fixtures broken. The linen is old and tired, towels stained. No kitchen between breakfast and dinner. It is remote and taxis are really difficult and most only take cash. Cash is really hard to get hold of in Argentina. Having said that, the falls are amazing, so just book somewhere else.

Wonderful location and great view. Miguel and Tania were excellent. The approach to the hotel is off the beaten track through some unkempt streets, however when through the gates we were welcomed with a superb view across the river to Paraguay. Hotel is about 1/2 hour to town of Iguazu but taxis were easy to get. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated using local wood and fabrics. Had a huge window giving panoramic view. Very quiet with no immediate neighbours. Small but nice swimming pool overlooking the river and Paraguay.

Il Tupa Lodge è situato alla fine di una stradina sterrata e apre il suo prato sul fiume Paranà . È costituito da una casa principale dove c'è il tavolo della reception ed il resto della sala è adibito alla sala colazioni e cena. Poi c'è la piscina con sdraio e questo è tutto. Le camere sono molto molto spaziose, un letto matrimoniale king size e due letti francesi stanno veramente comodi. Le camere sono all'interno di una sorta di bungalow che ne tiene due. tutte guardano il fiume con un iper finestrone che da sulla terrazzina privata attrezzata con un tavolino e due sedie per attendere in pace il tramonto. Servizi alberghieri e personale sono disponibili. Wifi funziona bene nelle zone centrali. Nelle camere più esterne come la nostra, la 10, un pò meno ma cmq funziona. Alzarsi al mattino con il cinguettio di una miriade di uccelli,  questo è quello che dovete aspettarvi. Tranquillità, relax. Le camere sono 10 quindi al massimo avrete a che fare con 40 persone.......Per andare in centro ncessitate del taxi, 8.000 pesos a tratta. Il nuovo direttore da Febbraio , Miguel,  sembra scafato ed in grado di gestire le criticità che possono accadere con professionalità. L'entrata alle cascate argentine dista mezz'ora di macchina. A quelle brasiliane, un'ora a seconda del tempo in frontiera. La frontiera dista 15 mins in macchina. Se cercate relax, comodità di spazi,  servizi comunque da 3 stelle superiore, Andateci, non ve ne pentirete!
