Just returned from this campsite. There are good points about it but also things to be aware of if you are considering a stay there. The campsite is extremely tidy and well kept. There is attractive landscaping in front of the pool area. The public areas such as the toilet blocks and indoor pool are immaculate. Communal washing machines and tumble driers are offered for personal laundry. The restaurant offers a wide choice of meals and snacks. However, we stayed in a bungalow. We were told when booking early January that we wouldn’t be able to specify a particular bungalow. However, it is clear if you are local and staying for 1/2 nights, you are given priority and the newer bungalows. We were allocated for our 18 night stay an old bungalow. It smelt musty and stale and was extremely dark. I asked to change to one of the newer bungalows, only to be told precedence was given to families with short stays! We were eventually given another older style bungalow. None of the new bungalows were available. The bungalows are provided with clean linen and towels each week. They come with a small kitchen offering a two burner electric hob and microwave. They are equipped with various pans and utensils, crockery and cutlery. The bungalows are two bedrooms with a very comfortable double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. The living area offers a sofa, dining table and chairs and a TV offering a mixture of Spanish, German, French and a small selection of British channels. These bungalows would be extremely comfortable during hotter periods in Spain. However, we suffered an extremely cold, rainy period and we were very cold. The only heating offered was via an AC unit which would be very very expensive to use, as unlike other comparable bungalow properties we stayed in Spain, all electricity must be paid for. We also had no control over the water heating/immersion heater in the bungalow. It constantly heated the water to a scalding temperature, resulting in over €50 electricity bill for 18 nights. This charge compares to fellow travellers with their own apartment who paid the equivalent amount for over 5 weeks electricity use!!! It is also worth noting that it is impossible to view the electricity meter as the covers are so worn making them unreadable. You have to get reception to open the meter cover to take a reading. You, therefore have no idea how much electricity you are using or whether the reading given to you at the start of your stay is accurate. We had two further issues of concern. There was no visible smoke alarm in the bungalow. This was extremely concerning when a huge motor home was allowed to park overnight by the management, directly outside the bungalow living area just 1m away. It seemed to me that fire regulations were not complied with, allowing not only gas canisters directly outside but the vehicle itself. The reason given was that they needed to get the very large motor home off their pitch ready to leave the follo
