Meine Frau und ich verbrachten 7 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Von Anfang bis Ende war das Personal äußerst herzlich und einladend, und jede Bitte, egal wie klein, wurde mit einem Lächeln und Hilfsbereitschaft erfüllt. Es fühlte sich an wie in einem Familienbetrieb. Die Zimmer waren zwar etwas einfach, aber funktional und komfortabel, da wir die meiste Zeit unterwegs verbrachten. Das Frühstück war aus britischer Sicht etwas abwechslungsreich, aber das, was es gab, war reichlich und mehr als ausreichend, um in den Tag zu starten. Wir haben aufgrund unseres Reiseplans nur einmal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen, aber was wir hatten, war wirklich gut und frisch zubereitet. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Fernblick auf das Meer und über die Meerenge zum italienischen Festland (an einem klaren Tag). Auf dem kurzen Weg zum Frühstücksraum konnten wir uns umdrehen und den Blick auf den Ätna genießen, der täglich von bewölkt zu voller Sonne und allem dazwischen wechselte, und wir konnten sogar die Rauchwolke sehen, die aus dem aktiven Krater aufstieg. Der Höhepunkt unseres Aufenthalts war ein Flug mit dem Hubschrauber (Helisicily) über den Ätna, der von einem Hubschrauberlandeplatz nur 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt abhob und für Hotelgäste ermäßigt war. Das Hotel war ruhig, abseits von Straßen, aber günstig gelegen, um Orte wie Catania und Taormina leicht zu erreichen. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall empfehlen und werde bei einem zukünftigen Besuch in Sizilien wiederkommen.

Wir haben ein Wochenende im Hotel Villa Dorata verbracht, weil wir seit vielen Jahren feste und begeisterte Kunden waren. Leider sind unsere Erwartungen dieses Jahr enttäuscht, wie wir im vergangenen Jahr schon vorhergesagt hatten. Wir haben eine radikale Änderung in der Struktur und der Verwaltung der Struktur gesehen, da in der Vergangenheit, unter der vorherigen Verwaltung, alles in der Tat nicht perfekt war. Wir können bis heute leider nur feststellen, wie viel dieses Hotel, das sich in einem perfekten Ort für jeden Interesse befindet, in der Absturz steht. Die Kinder, die sich um sie kümmern, sind zwar freundlich, erzieherisch und verfügbar, sind nicht hoch genug, denn sie sind offensichtlich wenig reich an der Hotelarbeit: vernachlässigte Zimmer mit Infiltrationsschleifen, Schleifen in den Wänden, Staub auf den Möbeln und nicht funktionierenden Badgewebe. Wärme fehlt, wenn nicht auf Anfrage, aber oft und gerne durch Kleidung für ständige Probleme im Anlagenbereich, Spülbecken und sehr wenige Dienstleistungen wie Seife in Badewanne, Shampoo und Kits, die normalerweise geliefert werden müssen und wir haben sie Ich musste es dreimal fragen. Das Preis-Qualitäts-Verhältnis entspricht nicht ganz dem Gleichgewicht. Bei der Zahlung, am Tag der Auscheckung, haben wir sogar die Mindestpenzen bezahlt. Die Eingangstür war ständig geschlossen und bei jedem Eingang und jeder Ausgang spielten wir etwa 10 Minuten, um uns zu hören. Wir sind wirklich enttäuscht, da eine solche Struktur wirklich viel, aber viel mehr verdient.

The Hotel is basically on the highway, not far from the airport, so very convenient for a business trip. The hotel itself is quite dated but well maintained, good breakfast, decent restaurant. The staff is friendly and ready to help with your requests.
