The setting is in a pretty Spa village. The hotel is quite a big hotel and modern with lots of marble flooring. The Reception staff spoke some English and were friendly and helpful. Our room was a Junior Suite on the third floor. It was spacious with a large bed which was a relief after the cramped uncomfortable cabin we had on our trip over on Brittany Ferries. The decor is on the bland side but the view from the windows more than made up for this. We were the only English staying in the hotel but this was fine as we managed with a very helpful Restaurant Manager to work our way through the menu in Spanish. He also advised us to go in the Restaurant as the buffet room was going to be very busy. The food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too and had a plentiful selection. On our second night we ate across the road at their large cafe which has a nice outdoor terrace. The attraction for us was that we were able to eat earlier than the 8.30pm dinner service time that operates throughout Northern Spain. No English was spoken but we managed with helpful waiters and Google translate! The hotel is well known for its Thermal Spa Complex. We decided to try it despite no English spoken but again we managed with helpful staff and Google translate and managed to understand what we were supposed to do. This included wearing a swim cap provided by the hotel! It was a great experience and thoroughly therapeutic and relaxing. We had a good overall experience at the hotel and slept well. We would definitely stay here again even if it was only for a night passing through on our way south.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this warm and quaint posada for one night during our Camino del Norte hike on June 2, 2020. The host was attentive, very accommodating and was incredibly generous with his time in helping us navigate the Spanish dinner menu. The location was perfect however keep in mind there isn't a supermarket or bar close by so ensure you bring whatever food or drinks you might need if not arriving by car. Fortunately we had some snacks with us and enjoyed a picnic on the grounds of the property. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was generous and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for taking such great care of us! Cynthia Wozniak

Wir sind ein Paar von Valencia, wir haben uns in der Pension Castio drei Nächte gebogen, es waren ursprünglich zwei, aber wir haben beschlossen, eine Nacht zu bleiben, sie ist 7 oder 8 Minuten zu Fuß zum Zentrum, in einem Auto eine Minute, Die Lage war perfekt, um ins Zentrum zu gehen und einen Spaziergang zu machen und weit genug, um die Ruhe und den Frieden von einem so schönen Ort wie diesem zu genießen. Die Eigentümerin, Martina, wenn ich mich nicht irre, sehr aufmerksam und charmant, und ALL unverschämt, sehr schöne, und vor allem sehr saubere Zimmer, die Reise war 12 Tage und die darauf folgenden Tage gingen wir zu Hotels mit mehr Sternen, die viel zu wünschen übrig. Ich wünschte, wir könnten in Zukunft zurückkehren, denn wir würden uns zweifellos wieder auf dem gleichen Ort unterhalten. Unglaubliche Aussichten. und alles sehr vorsichtig. Vielen Dank für unseren Aufenthalt so nett.

GGuest UserFrom the outside the hotel doesn’t look like much but the interior more than makes up for it. Welcomed very nicely by staff and was easy to find our room. Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

The hostel is centrally located in Santander, and has a nice atmosphere inside. There is plentiful space to hang out and work, with great kitchen facilities and also a vending machine and coffee machine for guest use. The hostel was very clean, and the bunks had privacy dividers which I personally find very valuable for a good nights sleep. Overall I would definitely recommend this location to family and friends!!

MMaybs247Wir haben uns wirklich im San Mar gefreut. Wir wollten ein Cantabrian Hotel, das direkt am Strand war, damit wir im Bett liegen und auf das Meer hören konnten, so war dieses Hotel perfekt. Die Playa de Luaña ist ein schöner Strand mit einer kleinen Surfschule und Lebensschutz/ Ersthilfe. Gehen Sie die Treppen des Hotels und der Strand ist im Boden- perfekt! Unser Doppelzimmer hatte eine Terrasse, die zwar schön war, aber vor allem auf dem Schatten vom Nachmittag. Das Bett war eigentlich zwei Einzelpersonen, und die Matratzen schienen zu erinnern, die sehr warm waren in der Nacht. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, aber wir waren besorgt über Moskitos. Das Hotel hat einen Plug in Bug zapper für das Zimmer geliefert. Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gemacht, was wunderschön war. Frische Handtücher auch jeden Tag. Frühstück war Selbstbedienung im Grünbuch und war ok- eine Auswahl an Obst, Joghurt und vieles Brot, Jamón und Käse, mit einigen Croissants, Jams usw. Wir hatten jeden Abend einen Drink in der Bar und spielten oft Karten auf der Terrasse. Service könnte ein bisschen langsam sein. Wir hatten zweimal Abendessen im Restaurant (viel bevorzugt das Gegenteil) und das Essen war gut wert. Insgesamt ein schöner Ort. Es war ziemlich teuer (€120/night) und oft warten wir auf die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals - sowohl beim Einchecken als auch beim Auschecken warten wir mindestens 10 Minuten auf die Ankunft der Leute. Service könnte auch ein wenig gruff zuweilen sein. Wir empfehlen Ihnen einen Aufenthalt hier - die Lage ist auch groß mit Comillas und Santillana in einfachen Fahrten, plus das wunderbare Restaurant El Remedio.

GGuest UserNeue Struktur (im Juli 2022 eröffnet) in der Randlage in der Nähe der Tangentenverkehrsstrecken von Santander. Große, farbige und sehr angenehme gemeinsame Räume, freundliche und gemütliche Mitarbeiter, auch wenn die jüngste Alter irgendwann verraten die wenigen Erfahrungen. Nicht sehr geräumiges und eher wesentliches Zimmer mit der, sowohl kreisförmige als auch unkomfortable, die Dusche im Zentrum des Zimmers und nur die Toilette in einem sehr kleinen getrennten Raum. Wenn Sie ins Bad gehen, können Sie die gleiche Erfahrung wie die Astronauten in einem Soyuz. Gute Lärmlosigkeit, aber manchmal hört sich ein paar Sirenen. Ruhe war immer noch perfekt und auch die Betten waren komfortabel. Es war schwierig, ihn trotz Google zu finden: Der Eingang ist auf einer Sekundärstraße, wo es aber kein Kartell gibt; es würde nur einen Hinweis hinzufügen, um den Eingang zu melden. Wir haben drei Runden (von den Tangenten und heiligen Browser! ) vor der Einfahrt zu verstehen. Zwei Schritte gibt es auch einen Bushalteplatz. Kostenlose private Parkplätze um und unter der Unterkunft, aber ich weiß nicht, ob es genug Platz für alle Gäste gibt. Sehr problematische Klimaanlage: Es gibt Raumthermostats, aber funktionieren nicht oder sind nicht aktiviert, so die Luft wird Zimmer x Zimmer von einem Kontrollleiste bis zur Rezeption, die wir dreimal beantragt haben, sie zu bedienen, Dann senken Sie sie ab und schließen Sie sie ab in der Nacht, weil laut und störend angesichts der begrenzten Größe des Zimmers. This hotel has so much potential. Great location. Nice ocean views from one side of the hotel- Mountain View’s from the other. It lacks a little love and attention. First off, if you are a spa person this is not the typical spa you might be expecting. The “spa” is basically a glassed off area on the other side of the indoor pool with mediocre sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Oh and you have to pay to use it. Kinda strange. You also need a swim cap. Fitness room, again, lots of potential! Huge room and plenty of equipment. Very dated though. I tried the rowing machine and the straps were broken and the machine was old, hard to use. They also have a sign that says to wipe down equipment. I found 2 spray bottles of something in the corner of the room with a used rag. Not exactly the ideal if they are worried about hygiene. The breakfast- lots of potential but lacking quality. The fruit table is wonderful and so is the coffee! However, there are no nice jams or homemade anything. There were scrambled eggs one morning and sunny side up eggs another but they were doused in oil. Plenty of cold cut meats and sliced cheese. The room- basic. Bed was comfortable. They don’t really use the outside terrace that has a lovely view. They could have breakfast tables set up out there with umbrellas and nice outdoor furniture to sit in and have a cocktail but it’s just empty space with some light square tables and chairs. (Missed opportunity). Could be fabulous if they had a great breakfast, made use of the terrace, updated the gym and did something with the “spa”, or simply don’t call it a spa. Decent 3 star hotel.

GGastnutzerIn Santander haben wir mehr als andere für die Position gewählt, die hier wirklich sehr glücklich war. Dann habe ich den Autoplatz gefragt, mit Möglichkeiten der elektrischen Ladung, und ich hatte auch das. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und komfortabel, mit einem schönen großen Bett und einem Bad mit Jacuzzi, das wir aber nicht benutzten, weil es uns ziemlich veta schien. Die Realität des ganzen Gebäudes scheint, erstaunliche Zeiten, vielleicht 40-50 Jahre zu haben, denn die Wohnung ist von dieser Zeit, auch wenn sehr gut gepflegt. Auch die Gäste des Hotels haben uns gewöhnt, ziemlich zeitgemäß. Es hätte sehr gut sein können, ein Hotel für einen Film von Woody Allen. Eine bemerkenswerte Stone ist das Restaurant. Wir waren müde und wollten nicht auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant treten (die wir am nächsten Abend gefunden haben und nicht weit entfernt). Streng Essen NICHT vor den 20.30, leerer Salon bis 21, außer uns, mit einem Surreal-Stillstand. Sehr wenig aufregende Menü-Petances, sagen wir, dass es für die Spanien weniger touristisch sein könnte. Geduld. Hotel empfehlenswert für die Lage, wird nicht zu unseren Wünschen zurück zu kommen, sondern schön, ein paar Tage in Santander zu bleiben, eine sehr schöne und verdient besuchte Stadt.

GGuest UserDie letzte Minute online reserviert fahren Spanien war eine goldene Suche. Ein wenig schwierig für den Sat Nav, auf einer dunklen weichen Nacht zu finden. Parkplatz ist begrenzt, aber ausreichend, wenn das Hotel nicht verpackt ist. Das Personal begrüßte das Angebot mit einem angemessenen Grab von Englisch/Französisch. Das Hotel ist spotless und hat einen sehr charmanten Charakter mit asymmetrischen rustikalen Möbeln/Dekorationen, die unglaublich gut zusammen gemischt. Schlafzimmer/Badezimmer sind komfortabel geeignet, aber sicherlich nicht hochtech. WiFi ist kostenlos und eine gute Geschwindigkeit.
Das Restaurant bietet eine begrenzte Auswahl an tollen Mahlzeiten am Abend (nach der Probenahme möchten Sie nicht an anderer Stelle essen), und das Frühstück hat eine feine und unbegrenzte Kaltfütterungsauswahl und eine große Hilfe für sich selbst Kaffee/Late Machine. Sie können mit Ihren Mahlzeiten große Wertweine kaufen, aber Bier/Lager war nicht verfügbar.
Das Hotel ist ruhig gelegen und ist für kleine Rassen freundlich. Gut gelegen, wenn Sie auf Fähren (25 min Fahrt) warten.
Ich würde das Hotel 100% als gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis empfehlen, extrem charmant mit Nahrung zu sterben, und würde sicherlich wieder buchen, wenn die Notwendigkeit aufsteht.
