I travel quite a lot and can compare the services in this Arezzo 4 star hotel and others in the country: the plus: - futuristic and pure look and decoration. - a warm welcoming and helpfull staff available all the time. - a lot of Tesla superchargers the minus: - lots of stuff missing in the room to be rated as a four star : no slippers, no coffee or tea set, no vanity set in the bath room ( barely a single soap..), en empty minibar, no paper and pencils to take notes, no handkerchief , old and dirty carpet, a TV with less than 15 channels and only one in french and one in english, The breakfast is minimal and for 35€ you expect much more variety and quality food. And yesterday a diesel power generator ran all night, the people in the next room had a dog ( they accept animals in this hotel??) barking all night long. I attach pictures to illustrate all of this.

Modernes Hotel in Stadtnähe, viele Parkplätze, sauber und gepflegt, freundliches Personal, auch im Restaurant, das empfohlen werden kann, schönes modernes Bad, großes modernes Zimmer, Aufzug, hilfsbereite Rezeption, gute Beratung im Restaurant

sehr angenehmes Hotel. Sauber und in ruhiger Lage. Private Parkplätze ausreichend und kostenfrei. Lage etwas ausserhalb aber mit dem Auto optimal gelegen. Diese letzte Zeile nur um die mindestvorgabe an Buchstaben zu erfüllen aber das Hotel ist Top.

Wir hatten uns auf die Tage in Cortona gefreut. Als wir auf die Anlage fuhren waren wir im ersten Moment sehr enttäuscht. Es sah überhaupt nicht so aus, wie die Bilder im Internet. Vielleicht war auch nur das sehr heiße Wetter, das der Garten etwas ungepflegt aussah. Wir scherzten, dass wohl der Gärtner auch im Urlaub wäre. Fakt ist: der Garten braucht dringend Pflege. Den es ist wirklich schade: das Hotel hätte ein riesiges Potenzial! Leider wird dies nicht genutzt! Wir bekamen ein Deluxe-Zimmer in einem der Nebenhäuser. Dies war leider auch eine Enttäuschung. In unserem Zimmer waren alte und leider schon sehr abgenutzte Möbel. Alles leider sehr lieblos, leer und ohne Flair. Ehrlich gesagt sind diese Zimmer den Preis nicht wert. Sorry, dafür könnte man eigentlich garkeine Punkte vergeben. Aber das Personal an der Rezeption machte dann alles wieder gut. Wir bekamen am nächste Tag ein wunderschönes Zimmer im Haupthaus. Alles perfekt. Diese Zimmer war so, wie es sein sollte (war jedoch ein deutliches Upgrade). Wenn man also dort Urlaub verbringen möchte, sollte man eine hohe Kategorie buchen, was dann aber vielleicht am Ende zu einem schlechten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis führt. Der Pool hat Olympiagröße und ist einfach nur super. Leider funktioniert das WLAN sehr schlecht. Da es kein deutsches TV-Programm gibt würde man gerne einen Film streamen - was leider nicht funktioniert. Das Frühstück war wie überall in Italien eher schlicht. Was nicht schlimm wäre, wenn nicht das furchtbare Servicepersonal im Frühstücksraum gäbe. Man sitzt auf den Barhockern herum und der Gast muss aufstehen und zu ihnen gehen nun den Kaffee zu bestellen. Alles wirkte im Frühstücksraum unprofessionell. Man hatte den Eindruck man stört beim Kaffeeklatsch des Personals. Der Chef des Teams war sehr laut und unfreundlich. So mussten wir leider im Frühstücksraum frühstücken, in dem es nicht gut roch. Man hätte sich auf die Außenterrasse setzen können, aber das Frühstücksteam weigerte sich trotz Bitte, die vorhanden Sonnenschirmen zu öffnen. Ohne Schirme war es unmöglich bei den hohen Temperaturen in der Sonne zu sitzen. Schade. Die gute Punktzahl kommt nur zu Stande, da das Personal an der Rezeption sehr serviceorientiert ist und Cortona einfach ein Besuch wert ist.

My mother and I booked a room the day before and drove from Lucca to Arezzo. We ate dinner at the hotel and also had breakfast the following morning. Both were buffets and had a great selection. I was very impressed with the wait staff - they were so attentive and nice to all the diners. The front desk personnel were helpful and friendly as well. We booked a standard room with 2 beds and it was fine. The shower was great. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also, the hotel was easy to find (not always the case in Italy)

Absolut schön und romantisch und alles, was wir uns erhofft hatten. In der Natur und umgeben von der Schönheit der Toskana. Ein toller Pool- und Schwimmbereich. Atemberaubende Umgebung, komfortable Zimmer, schönes Frühstück. Shuttle nach Cortona regelmäßig oder nach Wunsch. Einfach nur schön! Was ich mir vorstelle, war ein authentisches italienisches Erlebnis. Ich wünschte wirklich, wir hätten mehr Zeit hier. Bitte mehr Optionen für vegane Gäste machen, aber ich muss sagen, der Sojamilch-Cappuccino war absolut lecker

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt in der Idylle der Toskana. Abseits der Hauptstraßen, ruhig gelegen und mit einem wunderschönen gepfelgtem Anwesen. Hervorragendes Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Mit einem Apero lässt sich der Sonnenuntergang bei Cortona von der Terrasse aus beobachten. Einzig das hauseigene Restaurant ist überteuert, aber dennoch kulinarisch sehr gut.

The San Luca is obviously a popular hotel in Cortona and for a reason. Built into the hillside, it is right at the start of the town’s main walking street and basically all its rooms offer amazing views, including the lower situated rooms. The rooms are simple but elegant and the bed sheets are really great quality. The breakfast room also has great views as well as a good variety, including many savoury items. The only area where the place could improve is the reception where especially the younger staff lacks some hospitality skills. They should definitely explain the unusual set up of the hotel as the reception is the first level and the one below is the second, then the third. Given that this is Tuscany, the San Luca is not a cheap hotel but for a gym with a view, it might very well be worth the splash.
