I am just advising you that in future please make sure that you put toiletries in your bathroom. there was no shower cap, bath soaps and ear buds. Also the bed was too small.

What a lovely place with the friendliest and most helpful staff. We stayed in the family room which can accommodate 4 people in two bedrooms, with a kitchenette and a pleasant stoep area for enjoying a cuppa outside. The main bedroom is very spacious, but a little dark, even with blinds open. However, the room was pleasantly cool throughout the day, even in high summer. Note there is one shared bathroom with shower, no tub. The shower is rather on the small side with soap dispensers too high for kids to reach. On the plus side, there is ample hanging space and enough surface areas for toiletries - something that is often overlooked. We loved the fusion decor with African, European and oriental elements, especially the beautiful rugs. The beds and pillows were ok, not great, but not terrible either. I need to single out Ozzie. Ozzie was a wonderful host. He looked after us from arrival to departure and managed everything to a T. We arrived minutes before the onsite restaurant closed for the day, and Ozzie graciously kept the kitchen open for us to enjoy a scrumptious lunch. Breakfast the next morning was superlative.

Rate this the best to stay in the East of Pretoria. Rooms clean, comfortable and bed the best we had, felt like bed at home. The staff, Ozzie, Colin and all other very friendly, courtious and respectfull, always ready to serve. The Swartskaap Bistro one of the best in the area. All food, breakfast and lunch very tasty (5 star quality) and tge presentation exceptional. Can reccommend strongly.

Sherewood lodge was a quaint lodge nestled in Pretoria. The exterior and garden area was beautiful and very well-kept. The service was really good and we were well looked after by Ozzie and the kitchen staff. I was, however, a little disappointed by the rooms that we stayed in. I could see the age of the establishment by the water damage and lack of attention to the upkeep of the rooms and shower. The room we stayed in was quite dark and the lighting wasn’t so great even in the daytime. For a premier room I felt it wasn’t value for money. Overall, though, it was good.

Friendly staff. Lovely setting. Clean room. Good food. Enjoyed our stay. Easy to find, Good location.

I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return, their service is exquisite, rooms extremely cleaning their restaurant meals are the best ever. Keep up the good work♥️
