CASA BUONOCORE Positano is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in the world, filled with charm and endless photo opportunities. The Mediterranean, the beach, the views, the architecture, and, of course, the food are simply amazing. In September, on my third visit to Positano, I stayed at a small, eight-room boutique hotel located right in the heart of town: CASA BUONOCORE. I would like to start by saying this place was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It is charming, quaint, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and meticulously clean. Alessio, the owner, goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome in this home, which has been in his family for 300 years. His entire staff is incredibly personable and accommodating—whatever you need, it is truly their pleasure to help. Every morning, you wake up to a homemade breakfast, beautifully presented with a variety of delicious and unique items. You can see and feel the love they put into pleasing you with a breakfast that is truly a culinary delight. CASA BUONOCORE is perfectly positioned in the center of town. It’s a five-minute walk to the beach and the water ferries, making it extremely convenient for visiting other places on the Amalfi Coast. Many wonderful restaurants and shops are also just a short walk away. If you are looking for the PERFECT PLACE to stay, you’ve found it. Great view of Positano. Close to the busy part of Positano. Friendly staff. Nice room. But that is to be expected. It sits too high up on the hill (literally 90 steep steps). Despite having read the reviews, we were unaware of this fact, and it is not mentioned on their website. My wife and I had six suitcases (about 23 kg each) as we had been on a working tour in North America and Italy and decided to take a stretch to the Amalfi Coast on a leisure trip. When I booked the room, I let the management know I was traveling heavily and would need assistance with my luggage. The receptionist greeted us by the curb and informed us that " porters " were available to carry our luggage up the stairs - to which we happily agreed. Upon reaching the summit, we were told that we had to pay 10€ per bag that was carried up. The rooms are not inexpensive by any standards, and the owner should pay for this service and not the guest. I would not stay there again. There are other similarly-priced hotels in Positano that are more up-to-par and have good service. If you don't mind walking up and down 90+ steps every time and if you travel light, this place might suit you fine.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Buonocore. The accommodations were fantastic - the rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Our traveling group booked the Queen Room and Deluxe Queen room which shared a terrace. The staff kindly arranged for us to eat breakfast on our terrace - a wonderful way to begin the day. Speaking of the staff - everyone at Casa Buonocore is worthy of the highest praise for kindness and excellent service. While everyone we thoroughly appreciated all of the staff - a special shout-out to Savino who saved the day when he helped us to arrange transportation to our next destination when our ferry was cancelled at the last minute. If you are considering staying at Casa Buonocore - no need to deliberate any further - just book it :-)

5/5 really impressed! Great value for money, super clean, helpful, free coffee and water anytime, mini bar in room refilled everyday, beautiful breakfast, great location! They couldn’t do anymore for you. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

Phenomenal location to downtown Positano and beach. The property was absolutely beautiful and well maintained for the two rooms that we had for three nights. The owners and staff were quick to provide wonderful recommendations that only enhanced an already exceptional experience. Breakfast was also always a wonderful treat as well.

Room #5, large suite (bedroom and living room separated) city and sea view. You will have to tackle some steps, but it is well with it. There was also a delightful window/view sitting area outside the door to our room, as well as a garden and many other areas to enjoy. Breakfast is delightful with different egg-offering each day and a gorgeous selection of patisserie as if you are looking into a display window. There's a short cut out front that takes you down steps to a mini market and directly to a wallet to the beach area. If you are tired of steps by evening, there are some nice restaurants in the and level. The mini bar access (no charge) was wonderful, especially as we arrived too late to order dinner. A water dispenser makes it easy to access cold, still, and gas-water. I would stay at this place again and again. #awayfromthefray, peaceful yet close to all needs.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite with friends. Lovely views, living room space, well appointed bedrooms with full two bathrooms. The breakfast was excellent, coffee, tea, sparking water or flat was available day and night and there was always someone available to assist you be it a taxi, restaurant recommendation, the stairs and luggage or ice for your room.

It was an honour to stay in what can only be described as a hidden gem of the Amalfi Coast where your every need is met in the most magical, luxurious and quaint style. This was one of the highlights of our trip and will forever have a special place in our heart.

This wasn't only the most beautiful hotel we stayed in on our honeymoon, but ever in our lives. The views are unreal, the rooms are jaw-dropping, and the hospitality is next-level. Everyone on property is so friendly and accommodating and you'll never feel more at home than when you step onto this property. Can't wait to come stay again next time we're in Positano.
