Dieses Hotel ist ein älteres Gebäude, das schön renoviert wurde. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und die Betten waren komfortabel. Jedes Zimmer hat eine Mikrowelle! Das ist eine sehr seltene Sache zu finden. Wenn Sie für Geschäftsreisen, bekommt es altes Essen in einem Restaurant. Eine Mikrowelle ist ein riesiger Plus! Die Kühlschränke sind die höher, die tatsächlich eine gute Menge von Artikeln halten können. Zwei Dinge zu beachten: Wenn Sie vor dem Hotel sind, ist der Autobahnverkehr ziemlich laut. Ich wurde mehrmals von Jake-Bremsen geweckt. Das andere ist, im Winter ein Zimmer ohne Balkon zu bekommen. Es ist selten, dass ich einen Thermostat auf 70 Grad einstell. Da die Balkontür/Fenster erlaubte kalte Luft in, wurde der Thermostat auf 74. Wenn Sie am Balkon sitzen, werden Ihre Füße kalt. Haushalten ist laut. Ich war in meinem Zimmer nach 2.00 Uhr, um etwas Ruhe zu erhalten, und es klang, als ob der Haushalter schuf einen Haushalter, der versehentlich in ein Zimmer ging, das nicht dienst wollte. Der Haushalter wurde wie sie ein Kind war gesprochen. Wenn ich nicht so schlechte Kopfschmerzen hatte, hätte ich meine Tür geöffnet und ihr gesagt, dass sie ruhig sein soll oder das Schreien an anderer Stelle nehmen soll. Nicht sicher, wann das Geschäft mich wieder in diesem Bereich haben wird, aber trotz der negativen Paare, die ich hervorgehoben habe, werde ich wieder bleiben.

Dieses Hotel ist sehr modern und wunderschön. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und schön. Ich bat uns, das Zimmer jeden Tag reinzunehmen, wenn wir da waren. Der letzte Tag kam niemand. Es schien auch nicht, als hätten sie das Badezimmer schon die ganze Zeit gut gereinigt. Es war 100 Grad Wetter und wir nahmen eine Menge Duschen. Es gab nie genug Handtücher. Es schien sehr kurze Mitarbeiter zu sein, aber für den Preis, den wir bezahlt haben, sollte das Badezimmer jeden Tag gut gereinigt werden. Sonst, ein schöner Aufenthalt. Auch eine gute Lage.

There are two Residence Inn's in Portsmouth, this one is downtown - - perfect location - - don't get them confused (the other Residence Inn is at the former Pease Air Force Base). The Residence Inn Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront is ideally located, for everything; walking in downtown Portsmouth, outdoor exercise, shopping, restaurants, culture, easy access to Maine, UNH, and the NH/ME seacoast and beaches. The Residence Inn Portsmouth Downtown/Waterfront is spotless, our room was immaculate. The common areas of the hotel, and our room were well maintained. Our room was comfortable and functional. I was looking for an alarm clock in the bedroom, and then I remembered that Marriott nickel and dimed their brand standard and guest experience and removed their $10.00 alarm clock from their guest rooms. I'll defer making further comments about the decay of Marriott's ”guest experience,” and save my energy to address Residence Inn's/Marriott's Limited-Service brands ”new breakfast.” We had little to no contact with the staff, other than to check in and out, which was non-descript. Parking is located on premise at $38.00 per day. There is metered parking around the hotel, but, I believe there is a maximum time period that you can stay at a meter, the meters are in effect from 9 AM to 8 PM, Monday to Saturday, and, I think, 12 Noon to 8 PM on Sunday; the meters in the area of the hotel, are, I think $2.00/hour, for the first 3 hours, then the meters bump up to $5.00/hour, thereafter. I think the Elected Officials in Portsmouth government, think Portsmouth is Rodeo Drive, Worth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, or Newbury Street (based on their municipal parking rates). As for breakfast, each Residence Inn hotel's hands are tied by Marriott International, and the hotel is making the best of Marriott's new ”Residence Inn breakfast” brand standards. I wonder if the person at Marriott's Corporate Headquarters who conceived this ”new, Residence Inn breakfast” is on a Day Pass from a psychiatric hospital, and delusional? The new Residence Inn breakfast, in my opinion, is disgusting; there is an abundance of heavily processed, chemical-rich food, that is commercially wrapped in plastic, along the lines of what you'd find at a Truck Stop vending machine. Cooked oatmeal is gone, replaced by instant. Scrambled eggs are gone, replaced by prefabricated, commercially prepared breakfast sandwiches, or, guess what, commercially wrapped, hard boiled eggs, the waffle iron is gone, the muffins are the type that if you lay one on the hood of your car, the paint might peel away. You can't blame the hotel for this breakfast, ALTHOUGH, Marriott International was under tremendous pressure from Residence Inn hotel owners to lower their costs associated with breakfast. So, Marriott created a breakfast that requires only one staff person (less staff, less cost to the hotel), and that is abundant in packaged, heavily processed, chemical laden food. Hotel is accessible and quiet. Hotel is clean and has everything you need. Holly welcomes us warmly and upgrades our room. The second day, the front desk gentleman prepared us a bag of ice for our cooler. What impressed more is the hotel staff went extra miles. They contacted me for a pillow where we forgot in the room. When we went back to pickup the pillow, we stayed in the hotel restaurant for lunch using the water, ice and utensils. They really treat us as hotel guests: it is heart felt that once you are their guests, you are always their guests. We will come back if we travel towards this part of the country.
