Receptionist greet with a friendly smile and told me that the room is ready, a very nice staff escort me to the room and introduce the rooftop bar and explained clearly how to use the elevator. The room is spotless clean and give you a tranquil feeling which is exactly what I need after a long fight. TY e shower is so good and modern, strong enough water flow.
The buffet breakfast is superb with different kinds of bread, cereal, home made yogurt, smoked salmon, scramble eggs, tomatoes, little sausages, potato harsh brown, many kinds of cold cuts and cheese, greens, etc.
the bar food is good as well!

The hotel is on a small stone street near the Ribiera in an old stone structure that has been beautifully renovated. Service was first rate. It was raining the day we arrived and we were loaned umbrellas. Drinks on the rooftop bar the next evening were enjoyable. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was fresh with plenty of options for everyone. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and had a great meal

I fell in love with this place - the old stone walls, the way it is tucked into the hillside and surrounded by residences, the amazing food and drink, our balcony, the friendly staff, the rooftop bar. Everything was top notch! It is challenging to get to in a rental car (my husband almost gave up, but the hotel staff actually walked 10 minutes to where we were and directed us to the hotel!), but SO worth it. It feels like a true 5 star hotel, where you are treated like a true guest. Everyone that works there was helpful and kind, and really wanted you to love their city like they do. I love the history of the place, and it felt like you were in a different world than the rest of the city. Loved our time there (even though the air quality was not good, due to the fires Portugal was having at the time - prayers for all those affected!).

We loved the building from the moment we arrived. Receptionist, she seemed precious and that was a trait throughout our stay. The service was lacking in many areas , staff were friendly and tried so hard but under staffing by MANAGEMENT let them down. Oh and if they have a function- don’t expect as a resident you will be looked after- you will not!!!! Told in bar a one hour wait for a cheese board as a function on roof!! In rooftop bar we were ignored for two hours, we sat it out as a test- bill wrong and drinks didn’t arrive. Management need training in how a 5* international hotel really functions! Please go find some proper instruction.

Staff is very helpful (front desk and bell person) maybe a bit much at breakfast. Speaking of, breakfast is really good, great choices and high quality. Our room was big with plenty of space in the bathroom. Watch for the floor in the shower it can be slippery. Now the bad. The windows while fairly new are not good at canceling the noise from the alley. When people speak downstairs you hear everything (we were on the first floor). AC is a bit loud for my taste. The worst is WiFi at least in our room. I was unable to work most of the time as it was keeping getting off network. Same for the TV. Finally, due to its location the access by car requires excellent driving skills not to scratch your paint. Also it’s a bit off the main historic center, while it’s only 8 to 10 min walk, the area is far from being enjoyable to walk around. Lastly, the parking is public, uncovered, and at 6-8 min walk. Good luck carrying your luggage on those cobblestones! I would probably not recommend this beautiful hotel based on those negative points.

This is such a beautiful hotel tucked in the back corner of a central street in Porto. It is small, quaint, has excellent service and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! Every employee was so kind and attentive. We absolutely loved our stay and was close to everything.
