SpringHill Suites Portland Airport

The only complaint I have about this hotel is that there is no storage except for 1 drawer so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. For 1 night it wouldn't be bad but it was a bit annoying with 3 people in the room for a 3 night stay. The closet was a decent size but the door to it in our room was small and didn't fold very well. The sink is outside of the bathroom (toilet and shower together) so you may wake up other people in your room if you are up early getting ready. No complaints about the staff. We were able to leave our suitcases at the hotel as our plane arrived in the morning and our room was not ready early. We did not want to have them in the car when we went out exploring Portland. If you are a runner, there are sidewalks all around to run on. The fitness room had multiple treadmills.

We were stuck in Portland for the night due to a cancelled flight and the General Manger made the experience so much better. It was my 3 year old daughter's birthday and he went above and beyond to get us a room that was in her words "beautiful and amazing!" He definitely made a hard day so much better and I truly appreciate his kindness.

I have been here several times (but it had been a couple years), and its a good place to be close to the airport. They do a really good breakfast - above the norm for a Springhills, which used to be an issue here, so way to go! Rooms are clean, but not necessary totally quiet to block out all the traffic and airplane noise if you are sensitive to noise. Staff was friendly and they do have a shuttle to the airport and a to a few local restaurants. Also several places within walking distance.

A big shout out to the amazing manager Jocelyn. She went out of her way to put me in a room that worked perfectly for my sensitivity to noise and even hunted down a box fan for me to run at night. She should train all hotel managers in the art of customer service! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Shuttle from the airport was very prompt. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The West Elm sofa in the suite was amazing and had a cool trundle bed. Breakfast was very nice. Tasty breakfast sandwiches, Chobani yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, oatmeal with toppings, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice rooms, clean. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Would stay here again. Beds were comfortable. We asked for quiet rooms and were given ones away from elevator and on top floor. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices. Pool was clean and inviting.

This is an older Spring Suites - bathrooms could use an update but the room wastage and clean with great water pressure in the shower. There is not really much within walking distance nearby but the location is great if you have an early flight the next day. They also have a free airport shuttle.

I really wanted to like this place and there are many pluses. Rooms are spacious, well laid out, clean, comes with mini fridge/microwave/sink, free parking, area seems safe (which a concern of ours). However.. those photos of egg frittatas, croissants, bacon, etc need to go and definitely should NOT be the main picture! Hot breakfast includes waffle maker, oatmeal, and premade prepackaged breakfast sandwich. Again.. it’s a free hotel breakfast so that is fine.. but why be intentionally misleading? Similarly, they advertise daily room cleaning. They do NOT clean your room unless you pre-schedule it and the most they can do is every other day (due to “COVID worker shortage”.. and this was not mentioned at check in.) Also, they advertise laundry services but failed to mention when I called in advance that it requires $6 in quarters. They won’t let you charge it to your room or a card. To be honest, we like the hotel and might stay here again, but the false advertising is what is driving me to write this review. I hope that this review will cause this property to take a look through their offerings and advertise appropriately and change prices accordingly to reflect what they actually offer. COVID had been here for three years and isn’t going anywhere.. using it this far out as an excuse to not provide advertised services is inappropriate.

I ended up booking a room for 6/18 and ended up canceling on the 15th which is 3 days before the day. It said I would get a refund if I canceled 3 days in advanced but when I called the guy was very rude and said they were unable to refund me. Horrible customer service.
