The Manager Roger was a terrible and rude person. Another guest and I waited at the front desk around 7PM on 7/21, 2024, but no one was there. 15 minutes later, Roger came with a black face. It seems he had a bad night. I told him we had been waiting long time and he should at least leave a note, saying "We will be back soon." Instead of apologizing, he said, "if you are not happy, go somewhere else." I was shocked and told him "No." He then gave me back my credit card and driver's license and said, " I am not checking you in. That's it. I am cancelling your reservation." Can anyone imaging this could happen? Even before I left, He came back and told me the waiting was 13 minutes according to CCTV. I said even we waited for a short time, he should apologize, not getting angry and refuse to check in a guest because he complained. I hope Choice Hotel can review the video recording and take action. I also wonder if race is an issue since I am Asian American.
