… alle Mitarbeiter sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und lässt keine Wünsche offen - zum Abendessen hat man diverse Auswahlmöglichkeiten, die Ausstattung entspricht einem 4 Sterne Haus, der Wellnessbereich genau wie der Pool mit Bar auf dem Dach ist top … egal was, ich kann nur positives sagen … 👍

First off, the accommodation, pool and the proximity to the beach are all great. The rooms are really big. We had a two bed apartment for two adults and two teenagers, there was plenty of space for us all. The balcony’s are huge, and also come with four loungers and six chairs, so perfect for catching the evening sun with a drink. We did have a leak in the bathroom which we raised with reception, which was not fixed. It didn’t cause too much problem, just annoying to get wet feet when walking by as it leaked into the bedroom. The biggest shame was the service and quality of food at breakfast. It was provided by “My Guest” so we assume it was outsourced. The young woman Rosa out the front was really unfriendly, didn’t want to engage and made us feel unwelcome. The food in the hot buffet was lukewarm at best, so not great for food hygiene. The only things that changed in the six days we were there was the fresh fruit and the cake, so it got a bit repetitive as well. Despite this we would still return, we would just do it as self catering as the breakfast definitely wasn’t worth it.

Es war ein Glücksgriff. Das Jupiter Algarve Hotel ist ein absolutes Spitzenhotel im 4-Sterne-Bereich besticht schon durch seine tolle Lage zum Strand von Praia da Rocha. Der Panoramablick von der 7.Etage ist toll. Das Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet sind hervorragend, es wird ein vielfältiges Angebot präsentiert, wo jeder Gast etwas nach seinem Geschmack finden sollte. Die Küchencrew und der Service im Restaurant sind hochprofessionell, dabei immer freundlich und für einen Scherz zu aufgelegt. Wir sind schon in etlichen guten 5-Sterne-Hotels gewesen und können vergleichen. Das Restaurant spielt da ganz weit vorne mit. In den drei Wochen wurde jeden Abend so variiert, das kaum Wiederholung wahrnehmbar war. Der überdachte, beheizte Außenpool ist im Winter einfach Klasse. Das Housekeeping (Sandra) arbeitet perfekt und die Sauberkeit im ganzen Haus ist tadellos. Nur eins hat nicht geklappt: mein Windows10-Netbook hat sich im WLAN nicht angemeldet. Arrived Friday midday, pleasant and helpful reception staff, easy check in and hotel looked recently renovated with well presented and modern lobby. We unpacked into a large two bed apartment, three flatscreens and sofa, large fridge freezer and all accessories required for comfortable self catering. We spent a nice afternoon at a quiet pool among other families and couples (pool is freezing cold). This is where the good news ended. Around 5pm two coach loads of students descended onto the hotel with shopping carts (actual shopping carts) loaded with speakers and party signs. Our stomachs sank as did our 7yr olds, intimidated by rowdy youths in the elevator. I enquired at the front desk as to the situation and was met with the news that the party had booked almost the entire hotel out of rooms. The Flor Da Rocha sells the rooms as part of a student party package at various times throughout the year, see screen grab. The sequence of events is as follows; two coaches arrive mid afternoon, the lobby and swimming pool both flood with loud students and then the speakers appear on the balcony’s facing the pool area blasting music. Short lull when they dissipate to the supermarket for alcohol then from 9pm (when the families are settling the children) the noise begins again with shouting / singing / Macarena etc etc. people hanging over balcony’s with guitars, clapping and jeering. No intervention from hotel staff whatsoever. It comes as no surprise the in room telephone also doesn’t work when trying to contact reception. The fact Jet2 are marketing this hotel as a family friendly holiday is ridiculous. No sleep for a family of four for the first two nights of a seven night holiday. We selected Praia Da Rocha as a family friendly alternative to the usual stag and hen locations, what possesses the place to host a two day student bender is beyond me. Unfortunately, this is the second time Jet2 have let us down and we should’ve known better than to travel with them again. The rest of the week was fine although the students continue to come and go, fortunately for us the rest seemed to be athletes / youth groups rather than organised party goers. Given time and money has been spent to update the hotel it’s a real shame they choose to recoup this at the detriment to family and couple guests in an otherwise quiet resort.

Wir verbrachten eine sehr schöne Woche in dieser wirklich einladenden, wunderschönen und sauberen Ferienanlage. Das All-Inklusive-Angebot bietet eine gute Auswahl an Essen und Getränken. Das Personal ist durchwegs sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die gut eingerichteten Zimmer wurden meistens nachmittags gereinigt, was uns aber nicht störte. Was uns in einem Hotel dieser Klasse fehlte, waren Tissues (Papiertücher). Um Waschlappen für das Gesicht mussten wir extra bitten, haben sie aber gleich bekommen. Bei der Ankunft war das Zimmer sehr warm. Man würde erwarten, dass die Klimaanlage bei Ankunft eingeschaltet ist. Das Essen in den Restaurants war größtenteils sehr gut, außer im italienischen Restaurant, das eigentlich sehr nett und einladend eingerichtet ist. Das hat uns enttäuscht; Speisen nicht gesalzen und nicht gut gewürzt (es fehlten die typischen italienischen Gewürze, wie Oregano, Basilkum, usw.). Das Antipasti-buffet war auch eher enttäuschend. Das Personal war bemüht, aber nicht sehr professionell. Da gibt es noch einige Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten. Das große Buffetrestaurant sowie das Steakrestaurant Roastic waren wirklich sehr gut. Das Frühstück könnte für 5 Sterne etwas variantenreicher sein, war aber okay. Insgesamt haben wir den Aufenthalt im Tivoli Algarve Resort sehr genossen.

Die Lage der Beach Villas ist wunderbar, in einer Minute erreicht man den Strand. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen an der Rezeption sind äußerst freundlich und sehr kompetent. Die Reinigung der Appartements passiert sehr zuverlässig und auch die Heizung ist sehr komfortabel. Die Pestana Gruppe bietet unlimited Golf, dies bedeutet, dass fünf Golfplätze inkludiert sind. Ein hervorragendes Angebot für Golfer. Wir waren vier Wochen hier und haben diese sehr genossen. In Alvor gibt es eine große Auswahl an guten Restaurants und Bars. Ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Algarve zu erkunden . Im Appartement würden wir noch vorschlagen, die Beleuchtung zu verbessern. Wir kommen im nächsten Jahr wieder!
