MG Cocomo Resort Vanuatu

Staff were lovely. The resort is run down and nothing like what was advertised. No TVs worked, no bathrobes, no beach, not sound proof, spa was unusable, toiletries, bottled water, tea and coffee was not restocked, bins not emptied, ant trails and cockroaches, loud music and yelling from across the lagoon, holes in walls with wires hanging out, broken or missing light bulbs and major plumbing problems. The toilet backed up through the shower drain, no maintenance man available. Two days later our villa was flooded with raw sewage. Belongings that were not soak in sewage smelt like sewage. Chinese man, Alex, was just going to mop the floors. We were eventually moved, twice, first villa had cockroaches in the fridge and same plumbing problems, second move was to a mould apartment with an unusable shower. We slept in the clothes we were wearing as our belongings were scattered between three villas and the resort laundry. Management, Annie, was unsympathetic and unhelpful and we were offered a free meal. Our belongings were washed and given a full refund after constant complaining. The swipe cards also opened other apartments. Four rooms was the most we seen occupied at any one time. Why can this resort advertise what they are not offering? Going through previous reviews it has been like this for quiet awhile. Shame on the booking agents.

I cannot comment on the accommodation but can on the breakfast l had there today. Let me start with the good. This is a wonderful venue for children with breakfast and great coffee served near the kiddies pool area. Kudos to management for the fun area. The staff are very friendly and try their best. Now for their breakfast. I cannot even begin to express my dismay. On paper the Big breakfast seems great on the menu. Eggs, bacon, toast, half a banana, some grapefruit slices and 2 sausages. The bacon was undercooked remaining pink and white, the fried eggs were hard and dry being over cooked, the white bread used to make the toast caused my husband's sugar levels to spike up in the high 19 area and the sausages were spicy preservative filled pieces of brown ooze encased in sausage skins. Everything tasted awful. The staff did kindly cook the bacon a bit more and were extremely nice about it. I did not have the energy to complain about the sausages and egg but ate it in boarding school style. I hope to see an improvement but l will only be having their great coffee there until the breakfast improves. Such a pity as the rest of the resort looks great.

Absolute deception! I never leave reviews, but feel its absolutely (!) needed because this place needs to be closed down and fully renovated before anyone hurts themselves here or something really bad happens. Beware, false advertising, beyond horrible conditions. No pool, no restaurant outside specific eating hours (max 6pm). Staff were absolutely lovely but it stops there. Rusty nails, screw and broken metal in children play areas including seats/backrests, no staff after 6pm, no lights in room, no working TV(tv power plug is not even compatible with power sockets), looks beyond abandoned but still charges full rates. Spoke to staff before arrival and No one mentioned anything... specifically asked about food and drink options + availability due to traveling with kids. BEYOND Horrible stay, we have children and booked for a week but left within 24hrs. Again staff is lovely and we feel for them dealing with this, but this place should not be bookable all.

Extremely disappointed. Terrible management (Hong Kong owed, not locals) If you do make the mistake of staying here, watch your bank account closely! I was charged twice and had to argue to receive it back. Rooms smelt mouldy and are noisy.

Best Resort in Port villa..budget friendly. Nice atmosphere, good service. Close to airport, supermarket. Cleaning service 10/10 , staff were always ready to help. Good for families because small park and swimming pool available for kids too.

This is a basic hotel and is simple in nature. It is nice to have a sitting room. Everything seems to be showing its age and could use some fixing. The grounds, pool and rooms are aging. FYI- You can't swim in the lagoon.` The saving part of this place is the staff. They are lovely and so kind. If I were to stay again, it would be because of how friendly and helpful they where (especially Sabrina)
